A must place to visit regularly Visited for our periodic family pensioners meal together. Beautiful surroundings and on a very hot day, the restaurant was pleasantly cool. Promptly attended to for our orders and served well within the expected time. It was a nice surprise that in addition to our drinks order the waitress also brought us a glass of water each that was much appreciated on a hot day. We all enjoyed our meals but two of us stated that the steak and ale pie was one of the best we had enjoyed.

No refund for meals not taken when cancelled. I've stayed at the hotel before and was pleased with the food and accommodation. I booked a one night stay for Monday 29th July, paid extra for 'Fully refundable' and also booked half-board. Unfortunately I developed Covid by Monday morning and obviously cancelled the trip, although feeling well enough but didn't want to infect anyone. To be refunded, the cancellation had to be by the 27th July and the hotel would not refund the cost, even in the circumstances. This included the cost of meals that I didn't receive, so beware when you book.

Great hotel, great pool, would recommend Booked this very last minute after a dreadful experience at another local hotel. Wonderful reception staff, very professional and welcoming Amazing spa/pool facilities. Lovely pool with seating area and tea/coffee facilities. Extremely nice. Room was pleasant. Noisy guests which did disrupt sleep but this was not the fault of the hotel. Will definitely be returning.

Business stop over Stayed here recently. Parking was the only difficulty, but I put that down to how popular the place is. Reception staff were.polite and courteous. Room was above expectation for the price I paid. I made use of the spa area,which is included within the price very nice. The wifi in the hotel was not great ,but I'm used to that and just used my own data. Special shout out to the 2 guys behind the bar, sorry I did ask for their names ,but I've forget them. They were very courteous, on top of things and nothing was to much trouble for them. Overall Very good and I shall be staying again.

Definitely will visit again! Visited for 2 nights and had a delightful stay, we didn’t leave the hotel and ate lunch and dinner and used the spa facilities. All of the staff were super friendly, from reception to the bar staff and dinner area (especially bar staff, very nice people). For lunches across the two days, we ate mussels, beef burger, fish cakes and sausage sandwich - all very nice. For dinner, the chicken curry and sirloin steak were the standouts! Spa facilities were good with jucuzzi, pool, steam room. Overall rated five star based on what I’ve described and the good value for money. Room didn’t have aircon which is the only negative. Will visit again.
