Always my favorite When we come to Dallas we always like to stay at the Westin! It is handy to the airport, clean as a pin, and not far from restaurants. THe lobby bar is fully stocked and bartender on duty. It has a welcoming setting. We have ubered from the hotel to some neat restaurants in the area. We have also used the shuttle service , to and from the airport and left our car with them. Looking forward to the next trip to Westin DFW.

Improved Interiors but Reduced Service at the Restaurant/Bar and Club Lounge. Nice rooms, very poor service in the club lounge or restaurant. Overall the property has weathered the pandemic well and interior renovations are generally appealing (the interior designer that thought it was a good idea to hide the beverage storage behind cabinets that nobody opens when the lounge is running without staff, probably doesn’t understand the business but it was a nice lounge). The restaurant is well laid out, but with what appears to be a single individual operating the bar, the tables, and everything in-between, service suffers substantially. In this case a 30 minute wait didn’t produce any results, so I thought perhaps asking for a menu would send the right “que” but 20 minutes later still no service, so we left the property to find food elsewhere. Bottom line, rooms are good, shuttle pretty consistent, but restaurant, lounge and bar aren’t up to typical “Westin” standards.

Disappointing stay We stayed 3 nights during weekend for our business / pleasure trip. I had started to stay at Marriott properties since last year to maintain Platinum status. Prior to 2020, we mainly stayed with IHG and Hyatt properties and this was our first stay at Westin properties. So far, our stay at Westin Dallas Fort Worth airport was our first negative experience with Marriott properties. When we checked in, there was only one person working at the front desk who was a trainee. Our original assigned room was the same room we booked (king room, no upgrade) and as soon as we walked in our room we noticed that someone was using our room (maybe an employee, contractor? ) unofficially right before we entered our room. We found a cold drink from Whatbargur on our dresser, an used towel on bathroom counter and indented marks on the bed as if someone was laying there a few minutes before we checked in. It was creepy. When we went back to the front desk and spoke with the same trainee, we inquired about upgrade which is part of Platinum benefit. As far as I could tell, there were three different type of suites were still showing up on Bonvoy website for this hotel as available for the same duration of our stay. The front desk personnel’s response was “Oh, I was gonna upgrade you anyway…”. Long story short, we were “upgraded” to higher floor (aka “club floor”) in a same category room. Since we stayed in the “club floor room”we expected that the club lounge was in the same floor however, it was on the 1st floor by the front desk.... The club lounge looks like recently renovated and nice, but it was an unmanned self service station only with a few snacks and non alcoholic beverages, stocks with items which something you would pick up from gas station during road trip (muffin in a bag, banana, soda in a can, trail mix etc). I had inquired regarding breakfast service at the lounge prior to book this hotel with Bonvoy customer services and also by calling the hotel, and I was assured that the lounge is open and the breakfast is available at the lounge.... Yes, it was open all right but very far from what I expected. If I knew how our stay would be at Westin DFW airport, I would have reserved Fair Field Inn or stick with our old go- to like IHG or Hyatt where I had much better luck with getting elite member benefits. The hotel websites stated that there are complementary bottled water and bath robe in the room... I found neither of course. A few positives we had experienced during our stay was free parking on sites and friendly and efficient airport shuttle services. Bartender at the lobby bar was attentive and professional, too. If we are coming back to DFW area, we will never stay at Westin DFW airport. We have another stay coming up later this year at different Westin property and I really hope to have much better stay.

Business owner Stayed at the Westin at DFW 5/16 and was surprised to see these bags of garbage and linens in the hallway when I checked in at 5 pm. They were still there after dinner and much to my surprise they were still there when I checked out on the 17th. Another surprise was the bottle of body lotion in the bath had apparently been used as it was half full. Very disappointing for a Westin.

Friendly Staff, Convenient Location! I stayed here for one night in January 2020 before my connecting flights the next day. First off, I was incredibly impressed with the hospitality shown by one particular staff member. Cardell has to be one of the best Front Desk agents I've ever interacted with, Not only was he able to efficiently get us all checked in, He was genuinely interested in how my day was, where I was headed, What had brought me to DFW that evening. I explained that I'm an AVgeek and was laying over for the night here in Dallas. our conversation even continued when I came back downstairs to pick up some snacks from the store in the lobby. As soon as I walked off the elevator we bumped into each other again and rather than just a general "How's your room" He continued to be interested in my passion for aviation and the conversation continued for about 5-10 minutes. The room itself was somewhat small but still has more than adequate space for one or two guests. It was mostly immaculate and when I did have a very minor issue with the room the staff were quick to resolve the issue. The room had a large Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Etc. one thing to note is there is no coffee maker in the room. This wasn't a big deal since there's a 24hr shop downstairs. I was pleasantly surprised with this Westin as the last one I stayed at was a totally different experience. There's also a shuttle service that operates on demand which came in really handy! I'd highly recommend The Westin Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport to anyone needing a hotel near DFW!
