Needs better customer care. On arrival the reception was not exactly welcoming. It seemed to be a chore for the receptionist to book us in. We arrived just after 2pm on a Sunday and were really tired and hungry . There were people in the dining room still eating and we were told the kitchen was closed. We said we would be happy with a bowl of hot chips. Staff just stood there and said sorry we can’t help you. We were told we could get a Pkt of chips from the gift store. It would have been good to know this on arrival or better still when we made the booking (direct) . Everything in town was closed on a Sunday. The rooms are clean but really tired . Our bathroom was mouldy . We went to the pool where there was a group of girls eating greasy fish n chips while they were “in” the pool . Needless to say I did not enjoy swimming through the oil and lettuce slick .. staff should have asked them to get out of the pool while they were eating … it was more like a backpackers . The pool is tiny so there was no getting away. I hope it gets better throughout our stay.

4 stars hotel? It’s more like a motel The hotel’s maintenance is quite poor, and it needs renovation. The wifi is weak and not stable. The room was specious. Breakfast was quite good. No lift to the second floor. The attached photos will demonstrate… broken floors, no soap (just shampoo and conditioner), the shower head licks and dirty . The All club of Accor hotels gives benefits to new members and to Silver + members. Classic members like me, get nothing!

One faded exhausted croc _ in need of lots of love __ The concept of this hotel is incredible just a shame it’s not had a lot of love in its latter part of life. We went to the bar after a hot day of hiking and it was closed __‍♀️ almost had to beg for a drink the food was not the best and the staff well they weren’t engaging at all! Maybe a guy on a didgeridoo at dinner could have reminded us how remote we were. Sad really would have been a ripper I’m sure in its hey day _

Totally Underwhelmed - Needs a Renovation The rooms were old and in severe need of renovation. The shower heads and taps had white stains all over them and need to be replaced. For room service they just put the towels on the bed and didn't clean the room or bathroom or even do the beds. The staff whilst most were young foreign travelers themselves need to be taught to be nice to guests, to smile and have a conversation with guests - instead they appeared grumpy and didn't really want to be working there. It was way over-priced for the room and service quality. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone - a sub-standard hotel from Accor and damaging to the Mercure brand.

The Croc Hotel at Jabiru Had 2 nights here. Glad to note that the Accor Group is gradually bringing this hotel back to a decent standard. It is pricey, but being in the middle of nowhere one can understand why. Our room was comfy and okay, though we needed to turn the noisy air-con down, and opened into a lovely garden and pool area. Food and drinks were fine, and the young international wait staff were very friendly. Credit goes to the hotel for their extensive showcasing of indigenous art at very reasonable prices (according to someone who knows these things). Good base for exploring the local area.
