Porsha made our stay excellent We arrived late after a football game on the way home. Porsha greeted us kindly and cheerfully. One of the best representatives of hospitality we have found in all of our travels. The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast even had banana bread waffles as an option. Great stay!

Bed bugs & Bad Customer Service I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights for a family gathering, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. On the first night of our stay, a member of housekeeping knocked on our door and asked if we would like service. We declined, as we usually do at other hotels. Typically, housekeepers keep a log noting which rooms want service and which do not. However, about thirty minutes after the housekeeper left, the "housekeeper inspector" barged into our room while we were inside, claiming she was there to inspect the work of the housekeeper. After explaining that we had already declined service and that it was inappropriate for her to enter our room unannounced, she blamed us for not having the "Do Not Disturb" sign displayed. Not once did she take accountability. This situation was also brought to the hotel clerk as well. On the second night, I woke up to find that my bed was infested with bed bugs. I had bites all over my arms, and my sister, who was sharing the room with me, experienced the same issue (attached are the pictures of my bites). When we brought this matter to the attention of the hotel clerk, Alisha, her response was defensive and unhelpful. It was very disheartening to see such an immature and unprofessional attitude from someone representing the hotel. I expected a much better level of service and care from a reputable establishment. I left this situation feeling as if I was seen as invaluable patron -- as if my issues were a bother and did not really matter. I am usually not one to write reviews however, I believe that this issue needs to be address swiftly and be known. I hope the management takes serious steps to address these issues and improve their customer service.

Perfect Stay in Jackson What a great stay! My husband and I only stayed one night, but highly recommend the Hampton Inn of Jackson, Alabama. The outside, common areas, and room were clean as a whistle. Love the way the room was staged. The Christmas decorations throughout the hotel were beautiful and tasteful. As we drive away, I wish we had taken photos to share. Breakfast was well presented, as full as I have ever seen at a Hampton Inn. The dining area was tidy, and everything I had was the right temperature. There were plenty of other guests, but the Breakfast attendant was doing a wonderful job. Portia, the front desk manager, was friendly, professional, and seemed to truly enjoy speaking with me and others in line. A smile goes a long way. When I bragged on the lovely Christmas decor, Portia let me know that she had decorated the hotel on her own. What a treasure! Between her professional manner and warm attitude and doing such a great job of decorating, I really wanted to say "woman, what are you doing here?!" Great stay. Thank you, Hampton Inn of Jackson, Alabama.

A pleasant and easy stay I have stayed here twice, and both times have been pleasant and easy for someone working in the surrounding area. This time, part-way through the visit my car broke down and I had to extend my stay twice. Not a problems and things just worked around me.
