Nice public spaces, great breakfast, but room location was terrible. Most of the rooms in the hotel overlook an ugly back alley parking lot where there is loud garbage trucks every morning at 5am. It is a shame as the hotel itself has lovely public areas, a great breakfast, and is well located. I would recommend requesting a front facing room. The AC in our room did not work properly despite attention from maintenance.

Wish I could be more positive Based on pictures and reviews, I had expectations of a charming boutique-style location with a friendly and welcoming staff. Unfortunately, my expectations were greatly over-rated. Alpine Place is in a wonderful location and a delicious breakfast is available. However, the place is tired-looking and outdated. Our king-suite had old wooden furniture with drawers that did not open/close properly and one having a missing pull to open it. The lamp shades were worn, and the living area included an aroma that only went away when the fan was on. The bathroom had some mold, a very deep bathtub and no grab bar available. The dining area was cozy but a bit concerning with the same tablecloths used for multiple guests and crumbs removed by brushing onto seats and floor. In terms of the staff, the housekeeping and breakfast staff were very friendly, along with one of the front desk personnel. Unfortunately, there was little to no warmth from others that were at the front desk, even when checking out. Some of these things may sound a bit petty but when putting this all together and paying over $800 a night, it's hard to remember the stay as a charming and inviting experience.

Excellent location. Good rooms. Friendly staff. Jackson Hole is a wonderful town. Huge tourist magnet...for good reason. Room was clean, quiet and in good condition. The Alpine House is not the Ritz. It is a well run, friendly, clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was generous and cooked to order. We will go back.

Great location, freshly made breakfast, needs a few updates The Alpine House is a charming lodge conveniently located in downtown and right off the highway to Grand Tetons National Park. Loved the location. The made to order breakfast each morning was nice. We enjoyed sitting on the porch or in the garden to enjoy the beautiful weather in between our activities. A few suggestions for improvement: - The bed was quite squeaky. It’s charming to have a wooden bed but the frame needs to be tightened. - There is an ice machine which was nice but nowhere to fill water bottles and no water provided. - The bathtub is TALL. While I don’t have mobility issues, I found myself worried I would fall getting in and out of a wet bathtub which I’ve never done but the sides are genuinely that tall. - If you are a family and reserve the king suite, be aware the bathroom is in the bedroom so anyone sleeping on the pullout sofa will have to come in and out of the bedroom to use the facilities. Would be better if the door to the bedroom was before the bathroom.
