Aloft first time I’ve seen some of the negative reviews. I really think most of those bad experiences are rarities and not the norm at Aloft. I traveled for work for 25 years. I spent a lot of time in different chain’s over the years. Once in awhile you run into a bad night. Usually you can get it addressed pretty quickly. There are exceptions but, you can find that in any business. I just spent 4 nights in Aloft. 2 nights in Jacksonville Airport and 2 nights in the other Jacksonville location. I must say I was very pleased with everything about our stay. We have been members of the Marriott rewards program for years and love their hotels. What attracted us to this brand was how pet friendly they are. Pets stay for free and they treat them as part of the family. Traveling with a pet can be difficult and expensive. Some Marriott properties charge as $75.00 to $200 per night. It’s always been my least favorite thing about Marriott properties before Aloft. I would suggest that the Marriott properties that are not in the premium category get more in line with the pricing in the industry. I see $25.00 a night as a reasonable price for a pet without damage to the room. Keep up the good work Aloft. We’ll be back Pete Cape Cod

Keep looking… This place needs a visit from corporate. Not up to Marriott standards at all. We are Marriott Bonvoy members that travel frequently, and this was the filthiest Marriott property we’ve ever stayed at. Very disappointed in it. Rooms need to be updated and deep cleaned. The pool area was terrible - cigarette butts everywhere, empty flower planters with only trash thrown in them, and the pool water had a green tint. _ The bar in the lobby was not open at all, although it had hours posted in the lobby. And if that’s not enough, the rear parking lot is a hangout for tricked-out trucks with very loud music and a large gathering hanging out late at night. You could hear them from our room. Someone from Marriott needs to visit this location. It is poorly managed and certainly not worth what we paid!

Convenient to UF Health Hospital We stayed there when my husband needed surgery at the hospital there. We drove three hours for the surgery and needed to stay over two nights. Upon entering our room, everything “appeared” clean, one wet wipe on the floor proved otherwise. The small amount of tile in the entryway and bath area was filthy. _ I always bring Lysol cloths to wipe things down since Covid and had to use 5 wipes to clean that small area. It was filthy. There were false eyelashes on the wallpaper by the mirror, there were whiskers all over the shower wall. But the worst of it was Saturday night when my husband was in the hospital. There were adjoining doors in our room to the room next door. The people who checked in were extremely rude and inconsiderate. They were partying at 12:30am being very loud, hitting the wall, and slamming the doors. I thought it would die down, but it didn’t. I called the front desk at 1:30am and she said she’d go up and talk with them. The loud noise didn’t stop until around 2:00am. Now we had been up since 5:00am Friday preparing to get to the hospital at 6:00am for my husband’s surgery. It was a very long day and I was looking forward to a good night’s sleep. This was a terrible experience for us and we will not stay here again. But please, if you’re reading this, as grown adults, can we be respectful of each other in a hotel setting and keep mindful of the nighttime quiet hours? _

Good but not great.. Covid still has shut down what makes this hotel special I believe. I was told to try the ALoft a try by a co-worker for the atmosphere. But the Covid had shut down the bar and basically the lobby. The hotel is about 10 years old and is starting to show. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable, still a nice layout. Fitness room is a little worn with no towels. Great location though! Staff is over the top nice. Will give it another chance when things are back to normal November 4th.

Modern but Comfortable Very Nice hotel with a modern lobby. Rooms are small but comfortable. Always appreciate the professional and polite staff of Marriott locations. This one is a short drive to the airport. Would stay again
