Just okay, ordinary, noisy A/C. We stayed here overnight while on our way to Charleston. The room was okay, nice bedding and relatively clean. Every lampshade was crooked which drives me crazy. The only mirror was in the bathroom which has minimal lighting. Hard to put on makeup. The A/C was noisy with a vibration and it didn’t have a fan cycle so it would clunk on and off during the night. Since we had driven all day we were tired we sleep late. My husband went down to the breakfast area about 9:00 and the food had been sitting out since 6 am so it was inedible. Won’t stay here again.

Needs a big update The hotel is basically clean but needs a huge update in the bathrooms, and furniture and air/heating system. Stayed here twice in January, first time I thought I just had an odd room so gave it a 2nd chance. The showers and toilets are very old and discolored, at first I thought the toilet was not cleaned but figured out the porcelain was all scratched and discolored. The air/heating system was very old and loud and when it came on during the night woke me up every time. They do not give a soap dish on the sink so when you put the soap back on the counter by the end of the day it dribbles all over the counter. Minor thing but an easy fix. The beds are very comfortable and nice quality sheets, but I think it’s time for an update on the rest of the room. Will probably not stay here next year due to this. Staff was very nice.

Bad in my opinion, but... Two great things about this hotel - The front desk clerk that worked the late afternoon and evening when we checked in on 01/20/2023 was wonderful. The only other good thing about this hotel was the water pressure in the sink and shower were great. The bad - We were in room 503. Hard bed, soft pillows, carpet turned our white socks brown, doors slamming, and the bathroom was disgusting. Dirt around the toilet, mold in shower, caulking coming off around tub, and fixtures broken or in need of repair. The worse breakfast ever! Very few people in the breakfast area in the 30 minutes we were there. Upon arrival there was one or two very hard biscuits left but no gravy. There was no peanut butter, no sugar free syrup, no batter in the pancake machine, only hard cheese omelettes, no egg white omelettes, dried up sausage patties, and the cinnamon rolls were so hard I could not cut them with a plastic knife. We asked the lady in the kitchen for biscuits, gravy, peanut butter, egg white omelettes and fresh sausage. She said they didn't have peanut butter, there was gravy left, biscuits and omelettes were coming, and there was a lot of sausage. You couldn't chew the sausage, she did brink out fresh biscuits but never did bring out gravy and the tablespoon left in the tin was dried up, she never brought fresh rolls, and the egg white omelettes came out burned. They were crispy. We even witnessed someone drop a yogurt that exploded and after 10 minutes the worker came out and dropped a rag on it and moved it around with her foot, which left a sticky mess that people were walking through. We ended up having brunch elsewhere. This wasn't a cheap hotel either. Certainly did not get our money's worth here.

Good place to stay but.. Location was good, pretty clean, breakfast was great, staff nice. $40 charge for a dog is higher than usual rate. Room had an odor. And a super loud, absolutely deafening fire alarm went off at 5:45am. After struggling to get it to stop, and noticing the hallway was empty, I tried to call front desk. Hotel phone was disconnected and wasn’t working. Suddenly it started up again. No one was in the hall. When I finally figured out the number for the front desk online and called, she said there had been smoke in the kitchen and everything was fine. Much to my surprise, in other reviews, there were other incidents of the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. Get that kitchen sensor fixed. Wrecked an otherwise decent stay.
