Great service, great price. Dog friendly. We were delayed on the road, the late check in was no problem he had everything ready to go and he checked us right in. The room was clean, the price was right, I would stay here again. My daughter and her family extended her stay a couple of days.

SCAM If I could give this place zero stars I would. I booked in December like a little bit after Christmas. Do not book through Expedia, do not book here ever. This place is horrible and they will scam you harshly. First of all I'm not a confrontational person. I'm usually very lenient. I had been traveling 15 hours and my car broke down so I had to have it fixed at the Firestone next door. By the time we found out it wasnt going to be fixed, I was almost 48 hours without sleep. I booked this hotel for 90$ with Expedia. When I got in the hotel to stay in my room with my husband and 2 month old son, the "owner" at the front told me there would be an additional upcharge of 100$ for the rooms "expenditures" I asked what the expenditures were and he said it was if I "stole a pillow". So I tried to pay for it with the card I used for Expedia since he said I could only pay for it with a card with the same name as on Expedias website. I tried and he told me my cashapp card wasn't a bank card. It works through Sutton bank so I know that's false. I then asked him for a refund and he told me the same thing. That it wasn't a bank card and I'd have to contact Expedia. Well I did contact Expedia later. And they called the same hotel and asked him if he wanted to give me a refund. He said "no" for the same reason. Even cashapps bank said he could've easily done the refund, but he didn't want to. He just wants money. Do not book here. Book next door. It may be like 10 extra bucks but it's worth it. Expedia will not refund you because they'll just ask the owner for it anyways. This was a waste of 90 dollars and a huge waste of time.

Clean Rooms with friendly staff We came for Rock the South. Check in and check out process was super easy and the staff was friendly. The staff really makes this motel. The front office guy was so accommodating. Motel room was basically what we expected. The room wasn't fancy, but it was reasonably clean. The carpet is definitely dated and I would recommend slippers/slides to walk on it and the room was a little dusty. The air conditioner takes a minute to cool the room down. They have a little covered grilling area with chairs and table that I thought was pretty cool. I didnt do the breakfast but they have one from 6-9 am and free wifi. All in all a good stay.

Scam? My wife and I had a bad experience at the Econo Lodge in Jasper, Ala. Since we were traveling with two dogs, I booked the room through Fido.com, which has a list of pet-friendly hotels. We paid $110 for the room and were advised that there would be an extra $50 fee, $25 for each dog. That is fairly standard. When we got to the hotel, the clerk upped the fee to $60, which I paid. He also asked several times for a $100 cash deposit, which I declined, but did agree to $100 credit card hold. The room was mostly fine. The blanket had cigarette burns and holes in it, and some of the towels were old and stained. The remote didn't work but the office gave me one that did. The next morning when I went to check out, the clerk (same, cash-demanding fellow), said the room had to be inspected. He sent up a young man who didn't speak English. The clerk then sent me back to the room where the young man pointed to a few dog hairs on the blanket and made quite a fuss in a language I didn't understand. I went back to the office where the clerk informed me that he could make the dog hairs go away if I gave him $80 cash for dry-cleaning. I suggested any extra laundering required by the dog hairs could be covered by the $60 fee I had already paid, and I left. It's been two weeks, and the Jasper, Ala., Econo Lodge is refusing to release the $100 hold on my credit card. I have challenged the charge with my credit card company. The issue has yet to be resolved. Be careful at this hotel. The multiple demands for cash payouts make me wonder if the clerk and his fussy colleague are running a scam to extract cash from weary travelers with pets.

HS&E coordinator Hotel was very clean and brightly illuminated. My room was always cleaned daily and the linens cleaned daily. Attention to detail in cleaning was very important to them. I would highly reccomend staying here.
