Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Jasper by IHG

Dirty and understaffed! This was one of the most dirtiest and unkept hotels we have ever experienced among all of the different hotel chains that we have stayed. The check-in process began with the front desk asking for my photo ID, checking my photo ID, but then asking me to sign paperwork for a completely different guest that had yet to be checked in. On our the way to the room, the first thing we noticed was how visibly dirty the main lobby floors and carpeted hallway leading to our room was. After walking into our room and flipping on the bathroom light, we were greeted by a cracked tile below our feet. In addition, the tub had a very large surface stain, as well as what appeared to be water spots and/or mold on the ceiling above. We brought this up to the front desk, who even after my concerns of possible mold, never offered us another room. It was clear that housekeeping was either severely understaffed or just paying no attention - almost all wall-mounted dispensers (shampoo, conditioner, hand soap) were either empty on arrival or very shortly thereafter. The breakfast is your average hotel breakfast. On the morning we sat down, the trash bins were overflowing and both of the coffee dispensers were empty. Again, it was clear that additional help was needed but lacking. I will reluctantly leave this hotel with a 2 out of 5 stars, but only because the beds were extremely comfortable. This being said, our sheets also had stains, including what appeared to be dried nail polish. Gross! We attempted to venture away from our typical Hilton stay on this particular trip and unfortunately we paid the price as a result. Needless to say, we won’t be returning to this location or any other IHG hotel in the future!

Absolutely amazing when we arrived we were greeted by a charming young lady I believe her name was Amy she got us checked in at no time at all. we asked her for a place where we could sit down and eat and enjoy our meal and she gave me a list of places we could choose from. We swam until around 10 and went to our room which was very nice. Next morning for breakfast was delious they had biscuits and gravy bacon sausage and them cinnomon roll are to die for. we had a wonderful time and will return when we get back to jasper

Great Experience! I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is in a charming little town and even though it was very busy, it was quiet and the room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff was very polite and the breakfast options were plentiful and very good. I would definitely stay here again.

Vacation stop. Pleasant stay in a typical small town. Inn was clean and comfortable. Desk clerk was attentive and helpful despite being a bit inundated with sudden influx of guests looking for rooms because of weather. Instant hot water in bathroom. Only problem was with our in room coffee machine. It was replaced quickly. Breakfast was decent HIG fare.

Outstanding Customer Service First and foremost, I was so fortunate and blessed to have Sheena assist me at the Holiday Inn Express. She is a gem and totally went out of her way to help an out of state guest that was coming to visit me in Jasper. I am so grateful she was so understanding and kind!
