Tranquil place to stay We enjoyed a one night stay at The Peech flying back from Kruger and before our flight to Mauritius. The hotel had been highly recommended to us by a travel agent and we were glad we took her advice and booked this over an airport hotel. We did have a 30 minute journey to reach the hotel but it was a lovely afternoon and nice to see a glimpse of Johannesburg on our way. The hotel is in a lovely quiet suburban area and feels very tranquil. It has two pools, one of which we sat around in the late afternoon sun and enjoyed some drinks. The rooms were very comfortable and had all of the amenities you would expect. We ate dinner in the restaurant that evening and the food was really good, however, the kitchen seems to have a large and very noisy extraction fan, which can be heard even when the doors are closed, but when they open for the team to bring food into the dining area it is very loud and does tend to spoil the atmosphere of your meal. We had to leave so early the following morning that we didn’t get an opportunity to try breakfast unfortunately. All of the staff we encountered here were lovely and very polite and helpful and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Peech as a great place to stay.

Perfect for a layover Really good boutique style hotel in a leafy suburb. The Peech have a number of modern blo ks each with four rooms (2 up. 2 down). They are large, modern, comfortable rooms with a small balcony overlooking the gardens and a couple of small pools. Bathrooms are large with separate baths and shower cubicles. The restaurant/bar is good, but I can't say anything about the formal restaurant as we ate out for dinner (it did however look lovely). The common areas are comfortable but small - open.plan style to reception. The staff, as expected, are friendly, helpful and generally very congenial. This place is great value and it's lovely to avoid the big chains when you can. The Peech is perfect for a layover.

Lovely Hotel in Johannesburg Lovely rooms, beautifully designed, you feel very secluded and safe. The rooms are spacious and ours had a nice outside terrace area. The restaurant was good but the menu didn't change which would have been nice. It's only 30mins from the airport which is convenient.

Amazing hotel and staff We started our honeymoon in South Africa at this hotel. It was a lovely hotel with amazing service and a great restaurant which we enjoyed for breakfasts and dinners. All staff were so friendly and helpful. If you’re considering, I highly recommend staying here.

Fabulous! We had a quick one night stay at the Peech while transiting through Johannesburg and it was an oasis of peace, comfort and tranquility on an otherwise long trip! The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and professional, the food scrumptious (we were so exhausted that we ordered food to the room and the service and quality was impeccable) and the bed extremely comfortable. 100% reccommend!
