Tye front desk Tye at the front desk is a _ gem. IHG needs to take notice. Given opportunities Tye would be a great asset for the company. Tye is fast, friendly, and a problem solver. After watching 100s of people come through all at once Tye never lost that beautiful smile.

Nice hotel Nice hotel. Clean rooms, quiet, staff were nice. Breakfast had many options. Beds were comfortable. Our only complaint is that they seem to cut the AC back at night. We woke up warm and tried to turn the AC down and it could not be adjusted until the morning. Weird! I'd rather have cool sleeping temps.

Best hotel and staff experience in 100s of nights traveling worldwide Staying at the Holiday Inn at Johnson City is by far the best experience I have had in two years of business travel. I switched to IHG from Marriot, and this stay proves my choice was correct. The staff is friendly, caring, empathic, disciplined, and human. IHG will be unimaginably successful if every hotel operates as perfectly as the Johnson City location while ensuring the staff are as amazing. I am not joking, this hotel out classes five star all in classics resorts. Gabe is the first person we met, and his laugh is infectious. When the Papa John’s lied about trying to delivery our pizza, Julian made short work of cooking the best wings and pizza around. I’m 20+ nights into my 2024 world travel circuit and this is the only hotel I have eaten at so far. Likely the only one I will eat at over the next 60 nights of planned travel. Piper and Amy are a force to be reckoned with, and I wish this crew of leaders staffed every hotel I stay at. Of all the places I travel, I’m fairly certain this facility is the only one safe to activate the 5 second rule if you drop a snack on the floor. During our stay across 6 rooms and 8 people, Makensey ensured all rooms were clean enough for an operating table, and the commons areas are somehow just as well maintained. This group could radically transform any poor performing facility, and if you fail to pay attention you could easily lose them to a competitor who seeks a world class hospitality team. Everyone is so friendly and I feel like I’m leaving new friends when checking out. We wish you all the best and truly appreciate everything. Start paying attention IHG, something unique is happening here and the hospitality business is sub par in comparison. I wish your facilities in Manhattan could compare to Johnson City TN. Thank you

We returned We have stayed here before and would return. The place is relatively new. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. We apricated the additional yogurt flavor and having Stevia sweetener as a choice. Only small downside is the lack of a freezer area in the fridge.

Disappointing We stayed here for 4 nights. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful but requests made to them are ignored by other staff members, such as requesting hangers, room cleaning and a loose faucet in the bathroom. It has the usual H.I. breakfast but haven't seen any bacon yet and the pancake machine has been broken during all of our stay. Room service is practically non-existent. We arranged with the front desk for a complete room service with changing of our bed, but the cleaning staff ignored it and gave us their usual 30 seconds which meant making the bed, emptying the garbage and replacing the towels. Normally a complete room service is only done after a 7 day stay. The tile floors are filthy as evidenced when wiping up some drops of water, and the guest laundry room is also filthy. There is an indoor swimming pool and hot tub but the jets on the hot tub aren't working and the concrete work around it is in really bad condition. Overall this hotel seems to be really under staffed.
