Not worth the price A bit run down for price. Toilet was loud like elephant and after reporting never fixed. Room was hot no ac. Would have been nice to have information booklet with eateries, shopping, attractions and the like. Bathroom was smaller than the closet.

Nice but aging grand lady! stayed here three july nights in juneau before a cruise. when reserving, the apartment suite was available at reasonable rate. the hotel is totally from the mid 1900's, but most everything seemed to be working ok. no a/c, just a couple large fans in the room, but those were fine. nice view of the harbor. bath, bed, kitchen, dining area, living room, perhaps 800sf. would work for an extended stay. only real complaint was that the windows needed a good cleaning! good downtown location, loads of cafes and restaurants nearby, so did not eat in the hotel restaurant .

Great Location - Comfortable Bed. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is nice even thought it appeared outdated. Given it was Alaska, there was no air conditioning. It was in a good location near the piers/docks/restaurants. One mishap that occurred was a water line broke in the morning we checked out which meant no water in the rooms (luckily we had taken showers). Not the hotels fault - we managed.

Wouldn't Return "Walked" to this hotel from another, which means a great day was not had to start with. Check in was easy and staffing seamed adequate. Family and I had two one-night reservations and, mind you the hotel did not look (not to say it wasn't, but there was literally no one but us around) busy, we were placed on two separate floors, both with scenic views of a roof that hadn't been cleaned since the building was constructed in 39' (architecture is pretty neat if you're into that) and a beautiful hill with some dilapidated buildings on it - only going to be here one night, so didn't raise an issue but come on. On a quick side note, there's only one vending machine on floor three (IIRC) and maybe three ice machines spread across the eight floors. Bar didn't have any domestic beers, only IPAs and some off-the-wall brands. Didn't experience much else but, given what we did in our short stay, I'm glad.
