Many other choices in the area--don't stay here! This hotel is the worst Holiday Inn Express at which I've ever stayed. Our room entry door was a plywood door with pry marks around the handle. The water in the bathroom came out yellow, with lots of air pockets. The breakfast was terrible--it consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, and premade egg omlettes, cereal and 1% milk. We literally went to Tim Hortons for breakfast after having breakfast at this hotel. The grounds had unconnected downspouts, open trash containers and weeds all over.

Not your hotel Horrible. We booked through a third party sight like Hotwire and prepaid for two rooms for two nights. Showed up to get our keys, and we were told there were no rooms (by desk clerk) 20 minutes later, the manager shows up, and the desk clerk grabs trash bags, soap, shampoo and sheets and starts cleaning rooms. 35 minutes into our wait, the manager tries to get us rooms at the two closest hotels, but our third party site will not talk to him. 54 minutes into our wait, we are given keys to two rooms. The next morning (Saturday) the hot food runs out at breakfast an hour early, but is not replenished. That night, we realize that one of our rooms can not be locked! Yes, the key card makes the light turn from red to blue, but if you turn the handle with or without a key, the door opens. It turns out that the manager KNEW this the first night and did not bother to tell us. It did NOT get fixed for our second night, but we could throw the deadbolt and security lock when inside the room.

Very Disappointing for a Holiday Inn Express Kalamazoo was not up to the standards we’d come to expect from Holiday Inn Express. They were short on towels (2 towels for 4 travelers), didn’t answer the phone, so we had to go downstairs to get towels (ended up getting pool towels). I would have let that slide, but then breakfast was bad: nothing out but scones at opening, lukewarm food when finally brought out, no pancake machine, no fruit, no omelets, no oatmeal, 4-day-expired milk cartons, and then no milk when brought to their attention (so no cereal, no cream for coffee). They had scones, scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, and bread products to toast. The scones were good.

Destitute place Here for a soccer tournament. Pool closed. THEY ARE OUT OF KEYCARDS!!! The front desk person just had to walk up to our room with an actual key to let us in. This place is a joke. Do not recommend at all. Also dated and smelly. It appears the floors have not been vacuumed in years.

Nope! Go somewhere else. The staff was great and its closet to Galesburg. I did appreciate clean and crisp sheets and that’s all that I can say that is nice. The facility is old, dingy and run down. The room is dark and dingy, no modern fixtures, no USB, no in-room coffee pot to use the coffee supplies that were in the room. Other reviews sound horrible but our stay wasn’t horrible just dark and dingy. Also keep in mind that in this area there is no place to get good food. Next time we will stay elsewhere and drive the extra miles into Galesburg. We do not recommend this hotel nor this area.
