Get what you pay for Expected quality for cost. Our “studio king” room was larger than expected, with an entire kitchenette area—pleasant surprise. There was leftover food in the fridge which made us question cleanliness a bit, but no other obvious issues. Would book again for an overnight stay. My husband commented would book overnight before a game, as we travel from Iowa. Nothing fancy, but comfortable!

They Do Not Deserve Your Business My second stay at this hotel was also my last. I like the location and that's it. No coffee machines in the rooms, so if you want coffee you're limited to the 'instant hot water coffee' (not brewed) in the lobby that probably shouldn't be leaglly referred to as a breakfast bar. Small packs of muffins, stale ganola bars and instant coffee are not breakfast. However, the service this visit prompted my review. After checking out and driving back to Wichita, the desk clerk called to inform me I'd accidently left a Sam's Club membership card on the counter. Because I wasn't driving and we were well on the road home, I asked if they could please mail it to me....and I would gladly pay for the cost. Didn't happen.....I was told to call back because she could do nothing to help. After arriving home I made a second effort and was informed it was not possible; they do NOT EVER handle mail. Really? At any other hotel chain or mom&pop this would be a common courtesy...and I doubt if I would have been charged for postage. I do not believe they were truthfult. I could have found a better excuse.... I have traveled a lot and there are too many good hotel operations that would have not thought twice about returning a simple card. For this reason do not deserve your business. Scott Sykes

DO NOT STAY HERE- IF THIS IS YOUR ONLY OPTION, TRY TO GET ARRESTED, THE JAIL CELL WILL BE NICER Bad neighborhood, homeless sleeping in the lot, drug addicts hanging out fighting in the parking lot, dirty, smelly, outdated, worn, stained furnishings. Our room smelled like burnt oil. There are no blankets, only a sheet, apparently you have to request a blanket, in the Midwest during winter -it was 28° No coffee maker, no hair dryer. Despite the fact that we watched the cleaning lady leave our room, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom floor had some kind of oily substance all over, so don't walk around with shoes. There was a car that pulled in with 2 people, say there for 45 minutes and pulled away- which I know because our curtains didn't shut & you could see in directly at our bed. The pillows smelled. We paid a lot more for this "suite" than many other options and we did not get anywhere near the amenities in other locations. If you have no other options, I suggest committing a low level crime so you can get arrested and stay at the jail. Probably more comfortable, cleaner, better food and better service. Oh yeah, the coffee machine in the front was turned off and when I asked what was wrong, some employee said " you have to push the button" I replied, yes I understand how to push a button that literally says "push" but nothing happens...the kid that worked there & I think her name was Dawn. If it wasn't for the 2 of them I don't think this place would be in business. DO NOT STAY HERE

Okay stay, nothing great about it. I recently visited Kansas City and chose to stay at this property. It was okay. Wasn't dirty, but wasn't overly clean either. It's a weird layout, with the lobby on the first floor and all the rooms on higher floors. The 'breakfast' is a small shelf with a few items like muffins and bags of oatmeal. Don't plan on this being the way to start your day. The property is very convenient to restaurants, museums, and the art school. But, I'm sure there are nicer places to stay in that same area.

Cancelled my Room Didn't actually stay there because they called me 4 days before I was supposed to arrive to tell me they were cancelling the room I had booked and paid for. They said they had a large party that needed to extend their stay another day.
