Other options very nearby, check them out first Hotel staff, upon check in was short spoken and unwelcoming. Before I even arrived I was charged a fee that was greater than I paid for the room for incidentals, waiting to see if that pending charge is removed, will give it a few days. The family we met here said the bar was not open the night before when the posted hours were until 10pm, apparently the whole wedding party came back from rehearsal to a closed bar. The night we stayed they did keep the bar open, bar staff was nice. Toilets didn’t flush well and the bath tub has been dripping for who knows how long, it’s stained. Overall, seems clean but very dated. Floor is still old carpet. Only convenience/update is the door key that is connected to the app, making it optional to skip check in (which we did, but still had questions for the front desk, who was less than helpful. There was maybe a girl in training, she was nice, but the person training her was awful).

Last resort We had to stay here for a night during Hurricane Beryl. Aside from the front desk, it was the worst hotel I think I may have ever stayed in. We walked into the worst smell. It smelled like feet and cigarettes. The mattresses had no protection, ripped dirty sheets, and were stained. They were so old they had pressure valves that aren't even made anymore. Think 1980's sleep number bed. They didn't even work. So when you sat on the bed it completely went flat. We immediately went down to request to be moved and not shockingly they were all sold out. We had no choice but to stay. It took us about 2 hours but then discovered the cause of the smell. The carpet from the window halfway to the first bed was soaking wet and moldy. They also grossly inflated the prices due to the hurricane and this was a $300 one night stay. I sent pictures to corporate and their solution was adding some points to my account. Not even enough for half a nights stay anywhere. The only good thing about this hotel was the front desk staff. They understood my concerns but their hands were tied. There was no where to move us and no where to go.

Things Change Diamond Member staying at this property for years and through the pandemic. Very unpleasant stay. Front desk young man in the evening has been a pleasure for a long time. Conditions have deteriorated. Restaurant staff unpleasant. The noise from parties at night made sleeping impossible. Staff took no action. Television reception awful. Again, staff took no action. I excuse the power being off one morning and no hot water since it's out of their control. On the plus side, the air conditioner worked.

Dangerous shower, bad bed and breakfast This is one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. Generally, we like Hilton facilities, but this one was bad. That said, the staff were all great, very friendly. The shower was dangerous! We could only get scalding hot water or freezing cold water. I spent 10 minutes pain-stakingly and very slowly trying to turn down the scalding water, and it suddenly went to very cold. There was no in-between temperature. I got down on my knees to shower because the farther away from the shower head you get, the cooler the water gets. And I tried not to stand in the running water any more than necessary. Even so, my skin was beet red by the time I got out. Anyone with tender skin could get burned. The bed was so broken down that you could see the huge divot on the surface of the mattress, and it was very uncomfortable. There was some kind of foam mattress pad that did not cover the entire mattress, leaving a step-off at the top of the bed. At breakfast, the eggs in a 2-egg omelette were paper-thin, as if about half an egg was used. It was served almost immediately, indicating that it had been cooked earlier and then reheated. Not good. And we never could get internet service on our laptops or our phones. I only give them 2 dots because the staff was nice. But the facility was terrible!
