Handicap conscious Extremely friendly & helpful staff. My son and I stopped here on a trip from Austin, TX to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. We were desperate for a place to sleep at about 2am in the rain. We pulled into the only open handicap spot needing a first floor room, hopefully handicap accessible for my son in a wheelchair. We absolutely hit the lottery with this Econo Lodge! The only room they had available was handicap accessible & it was literally 3 steps from my front bumper. The lady at the check in desk was hesitant to rent us the room because she prefers to keep those room available for handicap guests. I swear I had tears and a smile when I thanked her being so thoughtful & conscientious and that my son, in fact, was in a wheelchair. I was so impressed with her cautious heart to save a special room for someone with specialized needs. Clean room, newly updated, and very comfy bed!

It's by a TRUCK STOP..... This place was a HUGE disappointment. I wasn't expecting a high price fancy quality motel, but was expecting the basics. Clean, quite and safe. Didn't get all of that. To look at the room it looked clean. Till you looked closer the mop boards, refrigerator and in the bath room needs some good old cleaning and repair. The management has signs in the room stating if you stole any items what would be charged to you. This made us feel like the management was calling their guest thief's. This didn't set right with my husband and I. In all the years of traveling we have never felt like that!!! To top it off, a truck stop is right by the the hotel. So getting a good night sleep didn't happen. TOO Much truck noise.!!! However, they can't control that. We didn't know it was by a truck stop. Didn't eat breakfast there, didn't see anything that was hot.

Pleased and Disappointed Pleased with the price, cleanliness of the room and bath area and hotel location. Disappointed with the towels (need to be scrapped - GARBAGE) and EXTREMELY disappointed with what they called a breakfast. STALE cereal and STALE and DRY pastries. Juice machine served BROWN orange juice. We were afraid to drink the apple juice. Coffee was TERRIBLE. All in all, a POOR excuse for a CHOICE Hotels "breakfast". I dislike writing poor reviews but someone needs to be made aware of these conditions.

Last night before home. After 2- 1/2 weeks on the road, we weren’t expecting much when we pulled into this Econo Lodge in Kearney. It was our last motel before home and we really didn’t care. Once we passed the initial desk ritual, the room was pleasantly large. It was a lot longer than wide but both directions were acceptable . It was clean and the queen beds proved to be comfortable. However, there was a lot of traffic noise which might prevent some guess from having a good nights sleep. At this point, I looked at my wife and she said with a smile…….I’ve got nothing else. Let’s go home.

Needs Some Work! This property needs some maintenance. The bathroom door top hinge was loose and door was barely hanging with one loose screw. Had to lift the door to get it closed. Shower head was loose and had to be tightened (by us) so water wouldn’t squirt everywhere. Lots of old “stuff” cluttering the hallways. Front desk could have cared less that there were room issues. We’ve stayed here several times but likely would not stay here again.
