Best Western Premier Keizer/Salem Hotel

Dirty, Broken, Outdated Our family was flying out of Portland, but needed to choose an overnight location to sleep before departing. Due to the riots, I chose a location away from the city...I should have chosen something else. ANYTHING ELSE. Do Not Stay Here! It starts in the lobby with dingy old carpet pulling away from the walls and continued into the room. The pictures say it all. I can only choose 10 pictures, but could have posted hundreds. Red unidentifiable stains across the carpet. The water in the faucets is set so hot, one of my daughters actually burned her hand. The dated linoleum sticker tile in the bathroom shows significant wear. Mold under the bath faucet. Dents in the wall. Unpainted areas. Missing lightbulbs? Far beyond the normal wear and tear that we have come to expect from hotel stays. Then we opened the fold out couch. We found a lighter, a Roku remote and sheets that had dark brown streaks across them. I question when they were changed last. However, we were given extra sheet when they were requested. Then the bed broke! It broke under the weight of my tiny 6 year old! The actual box spring was broken! The frame looks like it was pieces together with a 1x4, but was never fully screwed in! There was no central support. So I’m the middle of the night we heard a boom! And my wife and daughter’s feet went flying up and they spent the night drastically reclined. I will be calling a manager and requesting a full refund! This is unacceptable! Stay somewhere else, LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

Box spring bed Bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have slept on in a hotel. The smells like an old smoking room. The furniture looks like old shabby outdated furniture they are afraid to spend a little extra for the comfort of their guests.

Great deal Fresh baked cookies in the evening and breakfast in the morning that actually has sausage. You can wash your clothes part of your dog and has real pretty grounds lots of ponds and Vines and statues and trees really nice place serious bang-for-the-buck!

Pleasant surprise I was a little confused at first as the hotel had the appearances of a Hilton. Checked, formerly a Renaissance. Greeted warmly by Angelica who did everything to make us feel welcome. We were going out for a while, so she volunteered to put 2 cookies away fro me when she baked them (great cookies!!). Room was spacious, beds/pillows comfortable. Good selection of channels on TV. Vanity/sinks separate from bath/shower. 2 sinks, which made getting ready in the morning much easier. Quality hot breakfast, more so than most of the advertised continental breakfasts (eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy) plus the normal assortment. This hotel is a jewel and we'll return next time in the area.

Too many Pre-authorizations! BEWARE! This hotel charged 3 - pre authorizations totaling $456.63 PLUS an incorrect room charge of $149.71 to my debit card for a 1 night stay. Why? Manager Katelyn Garrand has no excuse and neither does corporate. My funds were held hostage for 3 days because of their shady pre authorization practices. I will never stay at this chain again.
