5/5 would stay again! Keep up the good work! New look, new owner. Years ago when I was last here it was a hole that no one dared step foot in. Not anymore! Their hard work really shows! Wonderful staff, spotless rooms, new furniture and decor. Seems too good to be true because its cheap but definitely worth it!!

It was fine Front desk staff member was super friendly and relaxed. Plenty of parking. Strange run down house on the same block, the hotel is built around it. Non smoking room smelled like smoke. Burn marks on the tub and quilt. Bed, washroom, appliances and towels were clean, but sticky table, questionable floors and grimy doors windowsills and baseboards. The sheets were narrow, queen bed with what seemed like double sheets, so everytime my husband turned I'd get uncovered. No extra blankets so thin blanket was not enough, I wore a fleece to bed. Surprise! If you sleep in the back of the building the train tracks are right across the street. Good location to highway, restaurants and mall. People mention the neighborhood being sketchy, but there were families, friendly people, poverty or lower income area does not automatically mean beware. Our vehicle was fine, we felt fine. I wish them the best. I think they are trying to turn around a not so great reputation.

It's really not that bad I previously posted a somewhat negative, Yet not altigether untrue review of this place. But I believe it may have been a bit unfair. Hey N Kelso is a bit rough but as a tourist. No one will bother you. The truth, it is a value priced motel in a somewhat economically disadvantaged, historical area of the town. That being said, the staff is stupendous, and the manager has been in 'the hood' long enough not to put up with any BS. Long and the short, if you wanna do drugs, take it to Red Lion or Motel 6. If you want a great deal at a value motel run by a hardworking, locally conscious manager. C'mon down. You'll get a great value, and a great night's sleep in the neighborhood I've called my home for decades now.

Ya get what ya pay for This motel, locally known as The Heroin Hilton never ceases to live up to its name. It is one of the cheapest hotels in town though. I advise you to come armed and possibly with backup, as this is a rough little area of N Kelso. Good news is that if you're tourists, the local kooks, thugs, & gang bangers will probably leave you alone. You can even carry your new electronics openly as there is a low number of stick ups, but don't ever set things down. The staff is ok, not overly friendly, but they get the job done.) The manager is cranky, but an OK guy. Hell I'd be more than cranky if I ran a hotel in that neighborhood. The rooms, well ya get what ya pay for. It's not clean, it's not quiet, but it's cheap. My advice is first NEVER BRING CHILDREN TO THIS MOTEL. They will get an education they don't need. Stay to the Motel 6 by the freeway. At least it's close to an escape route.
