Ibis Bay Beach Resort

No fun experience… I would strongly advise against this hotel...it started at check-in, we had already paid everything online! even the taxes and extra costs that had to be paid! When checking in we are suddenly told that 12.60 per person still has to be paid... very unclear explanation as to why this still had to be done... but we paid and walked to the room... when we arrived at the room we noticed that the door doesn't close properly and the air conditioning makes a pretty loud noise... when we were in bed later it started to smell a bit like smoke so I looked to see where it came from... it turned out to be the air conditioning that was overheating... so turned off the air conditioning and spent the night without air conditioning): in the morning we were startled awake at 7:00 am by a truck that came to empty the container... that caused a lot of noise and banging so that was also pretty annoying... All in all, we experienced this as a very bad and old stay!! I never actually write reviews, but I just had to write something about this because I don't wish anyone this experience..

Cozy Resort in Key West This place was great! Several amenities with a great pool and they have a shuttle that runs every 30 mins for drop off and pick up to downtown. Site has a restaurant with a bar near the pool side. The rooms are cute and cozy for an island stay! Staff was also accommodating.

Absolutely perfect I can’t wait to stay there again!! This tiny little resort is Absolutely beautiful , it looks like something out of a postcard. There are hammocks and tables right on the bay and it is the perfect place to watch the sunrise. I stayed alone and I felt completely safe. The continental breakfast was absolutely delicious. The staff was extremely helpful. My room was very clean. The free shuttle was extremely convenient. I cannot wait to return with my entire family.

Great place with a restaurant, pool and lots of rentals. Highly recommend! We had the best experience at IBIS Bay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location, although not on Duval, was great. The island has so much to offer in many locations so not all has to be on Duval. Branch out. Stay at Ibis and you will have a great stay and not break the bank. The pool is fantastic and they have a very good restaurant and all kinds of rentals and activities right there. I highly recommend to anyone coming to the Keys. We will definitely stay here again. We stayed April 2022.

For the cost there are better options… We booked this hotel for a two night stay through a third-party (Agoda). The room was advertised as a queen room with a courtyard view. There were pictures listed of this room and its view so we felt comfortable booking it. When we arrived, we found that the hotel computer system was totally down so we ended up sitting in their office for over 30 minutes waiting for the system to be repaired and we were not able to check in at all. We ended up leaving our luggage and going out on the town until later that night. when we finally did check in, we learned that we had a “value” room, which overlooked the parking lot. Needless to say we were a little upset as this “value” room cost us over $300 a night. When we got to our room, it was extremely small as was the bathroom. The decorations were cute, but they only serve to hide the poor condition of the room itself. There was black mold, everywhere, from the inside of the refrigerator, under the air conditioner, and all throughout the bathroom. Property maintenance is nonexistant. It is true that the beach area did have white sand and lounge chairs. I did not see any water sports as advertised, and just like throughout the Florida Keys you could not swim in the bay as it was too rocky to enter. On a more positive note, the hotel did have a continental breakfast every morning. There was also a shuttle that ran every hour until 10 PM that takes guests into old town. The shuttle driver was awesome at his job and could not have been friendlier. With that being said, there are so many other places in Key West to stay that are much nicer for the same cost. You would be better off looking elsewhere.
