Great ocean front rooms Probably the best ocean front hotel with personal balconies on the northern OBX. Even if you're not staying here the restaurant has the best cheeseburger I've had in a really long time maybe even best ever.

The view, the food and OMG, the employee, Christi !!! We came down for the snow storm and picked the Ramada as our destination. Let me tell you it was an unbelievable stay. Everyone was fantastic but one person in particular went out of her way to make sure our stay was mothing short of amazing.....Christi !!! She made sure to flash us a smile and ask if there was anything we needed each time we crossed paths. When we arrived she made sure we knew that the pool was open and what times we could go. Informed us of special times the diner would be open for food. Literally, every time we would see each other she would always ask if we needed anything! Also gave us treats for our senior support dog. If more places had people like Christi, there would never be a bad review. Lol. Thank you for being such a great ambassador for Ramada, Christi !!! She earned y'all a repeat customer!!!

Chaotic management and unempathetic customer service I had one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered at this hotel. Due to a severe snowstorm, the hotel manager initially agreed to cancel my reservation—which was both reasonable and appreciated given the weather emergency. However, the general manager later stepped in and refused to honor that agreement. The response was not only abrupt but shockingly lacking in empathy. I was told they “didn’t even allow cancellations during COVID,” as if that justified refusing basic understanding during a dangerous travel situation. This level of rigidity during unsafe weather conditions felt ruthless and completely inhuman. Instead of prioritizing guest safety or honoring the commitment made by their own staff, they chose to hide behind policy in the most unhelpful way possible. I strongly advise anyone considering this property to think twice. If this is how they treat guests in emergencies, I can’t imagine what regular service looks like.

Best staff, best location, great prices - what more can you ask? I’ve stayed here in early January a couple of years in a row now. The place is great. Friendly staff and good facilities. Best location on the banks this time of year. A special mention goes to Christy who was kind and calm and helped me find a solution when we forgot to book a handicapped accessible room for my father in law who is 88 and needs that type of room to shower safely. In a perfect world my pet friendly room would be on the top floor with a view but even at ground level this place is great.
