A PLEASANT SURPRISE We have never stayed at an econolodge before but this was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, and the AC worked. Only a couple of issues that were no big deal but worth noting. The room was very humid. It had a dehumidifier, but it was full, so a thin condensation layer was on the wood floor. All in all would stay again.

Could Be Better Below average for this price range. I told the front desk I was staying a few days and didn't want to be disturbed yet housekeeping ame BANGING on my door every morning even with my "Do not disturb" sign on the door. Dirty vinyl floors turn your feet black. TV service sheet was not accurate (They must have switched) and was difficult to understand how to work with no instructions. Wi Fi with no password protection. I did enjoy observing the wildlife in the pond in the back.

Roaches Could Doom A Once-Great Value It's so disappointing to write this. We've been staying here off and on for 10 years when traveling from NJ to FL. For a quick overnight, this was the best place in town at the best price for as long as I can remember. That's why it pains me to report that the roaches in our room point to a more extensive infestation. I'm told there was construction nearby that caused the roaches to look for a new home. When that happens, it can't be solved with regular pest control. It needs to be fumigated. Until that is done, and it may have to be done more than once, we can't stay here anymore. I hope you get it worked out.

Satisfied This Econo Lodge is very satisfactory for what I needed. A one night stop between Miami and home. Nothing fancy or frilly but everything worked and a continental breakfast was provided. I didn’t feel right rating it four stars although I have no complaints. Just don’t expect a 4 star for a 3 star price.

Basic Lodging that’s Clean and Comfortable My family was looking for basic lodging the night before we took the ferry to Cumberland Island. This EconoLodge has earned its very good ratings. The exterior is well-maintained and freshly painted. The desk staff - both evening and the next morning - was especially upbeat, helpful, and polite - thank you from a weary traveler! Our room was clean and in good repair; faucets and bathroom fixtures didn’t spin, squeak, or drip. We slept well on comfortable beds on a Saturday night. No disturbances from fellow travelers or road traffic. The breakfast room was cramped, and continental style - nothing to rave about, but adequate. There was a pool outside that we didn’t check out. Bottom line: a basic chain motel that I’d certainly recommend. Thanks to all whose reviews helped us make this choice.
