Motel 6 Kingsland, GA - Kings Bay Naval Base

No..just no unless you like bugs We stayed at this Hotel 6 because we were closing on our house in a few days. The first night was okay. I didn't see anything wrong but the second day I found this guy (see photo) crawling up my wall near my bed. I immediately tried to check out (this was about 3pm) but they wouldn't let me...I got charged for the entire day.

Very nice _. Jordan is a very nice gentleman. Kind and friendly. Very helpful. Prompt and very professional _. Room very clean. I'll be back. Only one concern. Please update the TV system. Great refrigerator. _

Disgusting public hair The room looked like it was newly remodeled,but the bathroom was unfinished and disgusting. Pubic hair from the previous user/ guest or whoever. Very surly floor. Nasty. I don’t want to walk on Urin stains. I would recommend to deep clean the room. Mattress was comfortable and protected under 3 layers of mattress protectors… which make me wonder what’s under the final layer.

Overnight only I read many reviews of this place leading me to believe this would be a good choice for an overnight stay. It is more complicated than that. We arrived late. I had called to inform them of this and they were understanding and polite. When we drove in, the lighting outside and in the parking lot was poor. The building is under some sort of construction and there was a boarded up window. In the parking lot there were folks congregated, not sure if it was "working folk" or just a small private situation . This is a three floor motel/hotel. There is no elevator so if you have mobility issues this is problematic. There are signs saying no smoking but the building had a cigarette smell. The stairway and halls had a filthy rug. The wall on the third floor, where our room was was all beat up . The room was better. No rugs and no signs of any bugs. It was basically clean. They have odd square pillows that are not good, lumpy and old The bathroom was clean. It has a curved shower curtain rod, but the shower head was coming out of the wall There was a woman milling about on the floor, talking on her phone it was after midnight. I could be wrong, but I got the impression folks were living there . I have done many road trips and am familiar with budget accomodations. This stay did not match the reviews. If you can afford to pay more I would recommend staying elsewhere

Do Not Waste Your Money The room was hot when I first walked in and turns out the AC unit in the room didn’t work, the guy at the front desk told me I had to push the buttons on the plug to reset it; did that and went to bed, then 3am I wake up and it’s hot & clammy in the room. The only solution the front desk offered, since there weren’t any first floor rooms clean, was moving to a room on the THIRD floor, and there’s no elevator. And the cleaning staff wouldn’t be in till 9 am. I chose to stay in my room, and spent a terrible night hot & sweaty, because the AC didn’t change the temperature in the room, and was incredibly noisy. Also, the back door is held open always with a block of wood, so incredibly unsafe (I may have forgotten to mention that to the desk because I was too tired & sweaty to think) I chose to check out in the morning, and I heard the manager was still “working on” getting me a refund. I’ll never stay here again, absolutely unacceptable.
