Great Value This is not a typical Red Roof Inn with exterior entrances and the signature Red Roof Inn architecture. It appears to be a rebrand from another hotel chain. As such, it has a nicer atmosphere than your typical Red Roof Inn. The front desk staff at both check-in and check-out were friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel does not offer a breakfast, however there are several restaurants (both sit down and fast food) in the area.

Ok choice! If you're just passing through Knoxville this is a sufficient choice. You won't find many amenities (no breakfast, no elevator) but its clean and quiet. There is a pool but we got in too late to see it. I liked the cute little front porch. We were in and out in about 12 hours on a family road trip.

Good rest stop Not great but not terrible either. Basic but sufficient and in a good location. Parking lot was well lit. Elevator was not working but it wasn’t a big deal for us because there are only 2 floors and the staircase we used was in the lobby and broken up with a small landing. We couldn’t get our tv to work but once again it didn’t bother us because we were only staying for one night, we all have our own electronic devices and we were just there to sleep. Mattress was ok but the platforms they were on were metal and we kept accidentally kicking them making a dong sound. We didn’t have time to check out the pool. Overall it was a good rest stop.

Most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels. This hands down was the worst I’ve ever stayed in. The front desk folks were surprisingly pleasant and professional. They didn’t fit the rooms, which were abhorrent. I’m not sure when the last time the floor has been vacuumed. It was a cheap laminate and was filthy! In fact the room has a funky smell coming out of the air conditioning unit. The elevator felt rickety and worked some of the time. The coffee bar was lame and had empty creamer containers and sugar packets laying around. Obviously someone put it out but then never checked on it. That may have been the responsibility of the desk clerks. So maybe they don’t get an A+. But the hotel (and some of its suspect clientele) are very substandard. I definitely DON’T recommend (unless you’re a meth-head-but then you probably already know about this dive) this hotel. If it’s that or a tent under the bridge, I’d probably go with the tent.

Excellent budget hotel Red Roof is a budget hotel that is especially good if you travel with a pet. Basic hotel room. BUT… Knoxville East is the nicest Red roof we have stayed in. Our room had a king, a couch, a desk, and it was spacious (most RRI are kind of cramped). This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Knoxville East, and while it’s not fancy, it is clean and a great value. We will stay here again if we pass through Knoxville. Bonus – best cable TV we have had in a hotel room. Not that we look for that, but it was nice to have. Zillion channels and a guide like you have at home (rather having to click thru every channel) We would definitely stay here again. Excellent budget hotel
