Hotel Cancelled Reservation Last Minute. I booked a reservation at this hotel in September 2023 for my son's D3 Nationals in March 2024, and unfortunately, my experience took an unexpected turn just three days before our planned arrival. I received a call notifying me that the hotel would not honor my reservation. They were not allowed to tell me why. I know the why - They overbooked! This sudden change was incredibly inconvenient, especially considering the specific reason for our stay. While the staff offered two alternative hotels to choose from, the downside was the significant increase in the nightly rate at both options. The original booking, made well in advance, was now being replaced with options that were double the price per night. The lack of commitment to our reservation was disappointing, and the financial burden of the increased cost for alternative accommodations added to the frustration. Planning for my son's D3 Nationals involves a lot of coordination, and this unexpected development threw a wrench into our preparations that was suppose to be an exciting weekend. The original total cost $388 for the weekend vs now $314/night is a huge difference in financial burden. I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, but three days' notice for such a significant change is suboptimal. This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed in this hotel.

Bad breakfast and homeless camp next to it. The room was sort of clean. The hallway carpet had big stains. The people at the front desk were nice and polite. Now the bad part. Breakfast was terrible. The sausage was not cooked right, pale white in water. The eggs look really bad, we didn't touch either one. The coffee was one of the worst we've tasted, the French vanilla cream could cover up the bad taste. The yogurt was good. They couldn't mess that up. It's close to the river walk but don't go north at all. There's a big homeless camp there. Would we stay here again?ABSOLUTELY NO.

Tired and worn. The AC in the room was unreliable. I don’t think the thermostat worked because nothing I did seemed to change anything. It was either hot or cold. I had to keep the fan running to keep the air circulating. It’s 76 in the room now and I’m glad we are leaving in the morning. The decor itself is tired and worn and the mattresses were lumpy. We should have stayed in a known brand.

Worn and Dirty Let me start by saying that all the people we encountered were very nice and highly professional and followed through with requests. If I was rating this hotel purely on service I'd give it 4 stars, but the hotel itself was not as good as their personnel. The room was generally clean in the bathroom and the beds were fresh and passed the bed bug check. The kitchen area and living room area were dusty and the couches and chairs were heavily stained and very dirty. The carpet also had stains. The ceiling in one bedroom had something clinging to it ( see pictures) . The TV in one of the bedrooms didn't work. When we arrived in our room there was one bath towel, I called the desk and they brought three more bath towels but no hand towels or wash clothes. Later we stopped at the front desk and she gave us three more bath towels, some hand towels, and some wash clothes. That's a good thing because we needed to put the towels on the couches and chairs to feel comfortable sitting on them ( because they truly were filthy) . I heard from the hotel after filling out an online survey that they have renovations planned- that's good, but I wouldn't stay here until they have those completed.
