Best Western Plus Lafayette Hotel University Area

Poor Property even if I set aside the terrible customer service This is now a Best Western Plus, having been re-flagged in late summer 2021, but there are basic problems with the property. First, there seems to be nothing beyond standard windows even with an adjacent highway -- I could barely sleep for the noise even with headphones on. Second, they have a hidden governor (not adjustable by guests) on the shower water heat so that it goes to maybe 80 degrees ... tepid at best. Bathtub plug was broken so I had to lean over or kneel down to let the cooling tepid water around my feet drain. Finally, the room setup is odd with the vanity right there when you open the door, zero privacy from hall. These problems alone would cause me to avoid staying here again. Add in the fact that the new management seized on a process glitch and refused to honor the Hotwire reservations I and other families had made (paid in full) for Purdue Family Weekend before their purchase closed, even though THEY KNEW about them... we were all given the bad news on arrival. Management could have been helpful but instead elected to gouge, providing one night at rack rate and then we were out, with no other options anywhere near -- so our choices were going back to Indy after one day, having flown from CA to see our son, or cramming into his fraternity house room which thankfully the young men made work). And I couldn't even take a hot shower to calm down. Hotwire lost a decades-long customer, and we won't even consider staying at this place again (which is substandard anyway), will find other places to stay for the 3 years we've got left with our Purdue undergrad.

Cleaning Start checking on your cleaning staff, disgusting coffee pot in room full of crude that had been there for quite awhile. Your not doing them any favors by ignoring their cleaning ways. With this being part of Wyndham, I'm glad I am not part of their condos. It doesn't help Wyndham out at all. Other than your staff being disgusting and not cleaning like they should.

Review Very nice hotel, extreamly clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff, no issues, highly recommend. Grab and go breakfast, and safety precautions in place for the covid. Near a busy road so had some noise, but not too bad.

Good Stay for the cost This hotel is good inside and out . The staff are friendly , the room is comfortable and welcoming . Breakfast is continental thanks to Covid , I'll be glad when a hot breakfast is back . Over all a good stay .

Heaven When we came to this hotel our room was hot and blankets were stained and they put dirty blankets on our bed and the phones in our room did not work either and The carpet was not vacuumed then we asked for a new room and they gave us a new one and the and both rooms smelled musty and their website said there was a hot tub and they don’t even have one and the pool was closed I guess because of COVID-19 and they said they don’t know when theirs will open so really terrible Hotel will not stay here EVER AGAIN.
