Hiccup at first. Management is PHENOMENAL! My family drove down to Lafayette from Kansas to pick up one of our boys who was attending a Boy Scout Camp, it was an 11 hour drive. Check-in was seamless and fast. However, when we got to our double room it smelled of mildew and you could feel condensation in the air. We knew something was off and discovered that the hotel has built a room around the Mechanical Room, to access the mechanical room you had to go through our room! I went down to the front desk to get another room and was told that between a softball tournament and the Boy Scout Camp there were no more rooms available. I called the corporate number and they sent a message to the manager who was visiting another property. He immediately came over and talked to us and did a room inspection which he acknowledged was in horrible condition. We were tired and at this point really did not want to have to try to find another place to stay. The manager said that he did have 2 single rooms available but that would split up the 4 of us and we preferred to stay together. He informed us that the single rooms had a couch and they could bring in a roll away bed. He took us to the rooms so that we could inspect them and choose the one we wanted and it was a totally different experience. The rooms smelled clean and airy and there was no condensation. We decided to stay and took the room change. The boys were excited to sleep on the couch and rollaway bed and the mattress on the Queen bed was heavenly, so much so that we inquired about what mattress it was so that we can replace ours at home! The breakfast was good, one of the boys even had thirds! Checkout fast and easy. The manager (unfortunately I do not recall his name) was phenomenal and turned what could have been a disastrous stay and first impression of Lafayette into a very pleasant and enjoyable overnight stay. Overall from other reviews, I would say that the rooms vary with condition and the breakfast depends on the day I guess. But I would stay here again if in Lafayette.

Unfriendly staff, loitering in parking lot, AC issues, Water issues Upon arrival there were guest drinking/loitering in the parking lot carrying on. The check in clerk was not friendly, never took her earbuds out to speak to me, and it appeared I was interrupting her from whatever she was watching on her phone. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The AC would not get to a comfortable temperature. It was either too cold, too hot, and wayyy too muggy as it even felt the carpet was damp/wet at times. The shower only put out HOT water, and I mean HOT!!! It did not matter what way I turned the faucet knob it was scolding so that shower was no fun! For $100 a night, I expected better. In the future, I will be spending the extra $20 or so to get a better place.

Very average hotel, decent price. The room was a pretty good deal for the price. The issues we had was, when we first got there the carpet felt wet. I don't think it was but it was felt wet, which was odd. It also had a odor when we arrived, like a dog was in there. The breakfast is fair, nothing to brag about. We were there for one night, so it was ok for that.

MILDEW, UNCLEAN, BUSTED!! STAY ELSEWHERE! I'm with the woman who posted on Google. If I could give this zero stars, I would. I wish I had slept in my truck. The only redeeming quality was the kind girl at the front desk. Let's start with the fact that we had to check 4 rooms, none of them were cleaned to our standard, and ALL REEKED of mildew/mold. Thankfully we had orange citrus spray to spray all over the carpet. We eventually gave up and took what we thought was the best room of the 4. There was packaging tape on the toilet seat, as well as painters tape on the side. The air conditioner never went below 70 when we had it set to 60. The blinds didn't work to shut out the sun. There was hair on the headboard. The tables were covered in stains. The chair in the room had BLOOD on it, as we discovered in the morning. There was black residue on the furniture. The fridge was dirty on the outside. The corners of the bathroom near the tub where there's ill fitting tile, clearly don't get cleaned. The toilet was so low to the ground we could barely get up and down. Stains on the carpet. Toilet paper in the peep hole. The room wasn't soundproof by any means. The TV had captions and an audio desription that would not turn off no matter what settings we tried I was so grossed out that I slept in pants and long sleeves.
