Nice hotel needing a few adjustments Rooms are nice, but when I was there a few issues arose that I pointed out to management. Lighting in the parking lot was sparse and several light poles were not working, which I felt was a security issue. Ice machine on 1st floor did not work because "construction workers sometimes fill their coolers," I was told. Had to to to 3rd floor to get ice. Clock in my room did not work. Otherwise, room was clean and nice.

Awful Experience Arrived 45 minutes after check in. Was told my room was not ready yet and I needed to come back in an hour. Called Hilton 1800# to complain as I had been driving for 4 hours and didn’t want to spend an hour waiting in my car. They were ZERO help. Was also told that I was “lucky they hadn’t cancelled my reservation” because they had an old expiration date on my credit card and couldn’t charge it….for the $8.00 I owed for the room since I had paid for most of it with points. I’m an honors member. They have my cell number and my email address. They sent me an email to check in 24 hours before my stay, which I did. Not a single person contacted me to resolve the credit card issue?! The first thought they have is to threaten that my reservation was going to be cancelled???!! I don’t care if this is the cleanest, newest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, they get zero stars from me. UPDATE: After finally getting into my room, there was hair in the shower. Some in the drain, and several other pieces of hair throughout the shower floor. The shower could’ve used a serious scrubbing, but I at least wanted the hair removed. I had to go back down to the front desk to have the shower re-cleaned. The front desk attendant, Kenneth, was clearly and obviously annoyed at my request. The housekeeping staff were very friendly, though, and promptly cleaned the hair out of the shower while I left to get food. I only stayed one night, but I will not return to this hotel as that was more than enough.

We Pass On Any Future Stays Our experience was overshadowed by a very strong wet dog smell in our room. When we asked housekeeping about it, the supervisor came into the room to check the air conditioning filter. She said there had been a dog in the room the night before, but procedure was to change everything following a pet stay. The morning after our first night the fitted cover on the comforter had come off and to our horror the comforter in it was visibly filthy. It most definitely had not been changed after the dog stay or anytime in the recent past. Housekeeping did provide a new one. But the bad smell never did go away during our stay. Otherwise, the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast room was tidy, well stocked, the foods were being kept at safe temperatures and the staff was very attentive at filling any food items that were low. It was a wonderful surprise that gluten free breakfast foods were included. The lobby offers a hot beverage station 24/7 as well as fresh fruit. The entrance was overrun with trash the first two days we were there but was eventually cleaned up. Parking is abundant but the drive from the street is awkward as a personal home shares the drive. We probably would not stay here in the future.

Horrible stay with bugs in our room and then we receive poor customer service from someone name "Barbara". This morning me and my boyfriend checked out of this hotel. I informed the lady at the front desk "Barbara" that we had bugs in our room as well as hair in the shower. She had the nerve to ask me when did I notice this last night because they could have moved us to another room. She said it in an unprofessional way. I said to her "do you think we would have stayed in the room if we noticed that there were bugs in the room last night, of course not we noticed those things this morning when we went to take a shower. Then she turned away from me and started talking to my boyfriend like I wasn't even there. She looked back at me and said "oh I am talking to him because the room is in his name. I asked him to contact corporate as soon as possible. By the way his name is Mosley and we were in room #231. Please spray and clean that room! Even the towels were dirty. Also "Ms. Barbara" needs more customers service training. Also Mr. Mosley is a Diamond Member but we will definitely not be staying at this location again. This hotel should also be a 2 star.

A disgrace to the brand. The hotel is convenient to Lagrange and the staff if very nice. Someone in management needs to take a look at the awful stained furniture in the rooms. We had two rooms and had to put covers over the chairs and loveseat because they were filthy with stains. If you can't replace why not steam clean the furniture. I have never stayed in a Hampton Inn with such bad furniture. It's a disgrace to the brand.
