Close to McNeese University The hotel was perfectly located near McNeese University, which was hosting the reason we were in Lake Charles. The exterior of the hotel was clean and had easy parking and well-lit walkways. The lobby of the hotel was beautifully decorated, and offered space to congregate with family or friends (instead of crowding in a hotel room). The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Upon walking into our room, we all started shivering, as the A/C had been left on 60 degrees and max speed…. Once we adjusted it, the temperature stayed perfect. The room had a slight musky smell to it, so the filter may have needed to be changed. The beds, although small, were comfortable for a hotel bed; however the pillows left something to be desired. They were a little too soft (head sunk nearly to the mattress; no support). A couple of other things we noticed were that the Wi-Fi did not work, even after calling the front desk to ask how to connect. The instructions were given, and we hung up. We still couldn’t connect, and called again, only to be told by a different person that the Wi-Fi was down. We looked on the website to see what time the restaurant was open, and it stated 6:00. We went downstairs, and the sign in front of it said 6:30. The front desk saw us looking at the sign, and told us it didn’t open until 7:00. So we opted to go to a nearby McDonalds, since we had to leave early for our event. One of the members of our party is currently on a very strict eating plan, and thankfully, there was a convenience room with a few things she could actually eat. Overall, the hotel was nice. It needed a little TLC and clarification on things, but I’d stay again…

Drove 3 hours to find out there is no rooms available after making a reservation I made a reservation on Wyndhams website to Wyndham Lake Charles for 1 night stay on Saturday 11/22/25. When I arrived, I was told that there was no rooms available. This all came as a surprise as I did not get a notice about this. The front desk lady told me she sees my name but does not see my rewards number or that I booked with points. I showed her my reservation email and reservation on the app. She apologized stating no rooms are available and there is nothing she can do. As I look on the app in my car, I found my reservation was cancelled with no notification and my points were not refunded to my account. All of the hotels near by are also full. I drove 3 hours to find out I don't have a place to rest tonight

Great Hotel - Newly renovated Excellent hotel with pleasant staff. Rooms were vey clean and the food in the restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel in Lake Charles.
