Americas Best Value Inn Lake City

It is A GOOD VALUE! I have stayed at this motel several times over the last 5 years. It has always been fine for me. A good budget motel that has all the basics and a POOL. They have a small bag of muffins and such for breakfast as well. The air conditioning worked fine and the bed was comfortable. While these rooms are on the small side, It is fine for me when traveling solo. Nice hot showers as well. Also, everyone at the front desk has ALWAYS BEEN GREAT with me. Consistency is a GREAT THING. I would stay here again whenever I pass through Lake City Florida just of I-75.

Great stopover on travels On a one night stopover heading from Orlando to Chattanooga, what a find! After reading the reviews, I’m always sceptical but believe me, this place puts other high end inns and hotels to shame! Huge carp park, the receptionist was extremely friendly and asked about our trip (over from the UK). Easy check in, the room was spacious and very clean. Fair enough a little dated but clean room, clean and comfortable bed, and a wonderful shower with piping hot water. Coffee available in room and AC. TV with several channels. A shout out to the other work colleague who was in with the receptionist, thanks for getting our case open, hopefully you’ll know who we are now and hope you enjoyed the shortbread from UK. Once again, do not hesitate to stay here, loads of places to eat locally. Did not use the pool or take advantage of the breakfast. Well done you guys and gals, I’ll recommend you to all that I know

Nightmare in Lake Citt After traveling for 15 hours, my family and I only needed a place to sleep. We got into Lake City at 0200 and three other hotels were booked so we took a chance. I am not a hotel snob. I expect clean, and expect to get what I pay for. I was charged $109 so I wasn’t expecting the Ritz. I travel often, so when I say this was the absolute worst , dirtiest place I could have walked into, it isn’t an exaggeration. Mold on the walls, bugs on the ceilings. The drapery was stained and tattered. The bedside chair was stained with holes. The sink was literally falling in. No toilet paper. No towels. The carpet was stained and terrible! I refused to even sit my luggage in the room. The desk chair was missing an arm and the head rest was falling off. The refrigerator had previous occupants drinks left behind. The outside seemed so run down and obviously didn’t house the most upscale occupants. I alerted the desk man and while he empathized, he didn’t offer to make it right. We left. As I stated before, I expect what I pay for and at this rate, I expected clean. That is not what you will get. Heed the warnings and keep driving!

You get what you pay for It's not a pricey hotel but very adequate for a nights stay as we passed through town. The front desk staff (Rebecca, I think) was very welcoming. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I would recommend they put a nightstand on both sides of the king size bed please.

Fantastic value This review and stars are not based on a comparison to the Four Seasons and the like. Instead it reflects the purpose served by the Best value inn. As the name implies travelers should expect value not glitz. We stopped here on our way from Fort Myers to Atlanta over the thanksgiving holiday. Since we would only be sleeping during our stopover we were not looking for great amenities. However there are features we do require: clean room—especially the bathroom, basics like coffee maker, Wi fi, Comfortable bed, quiet, etc. that’s where the five stars come in. The best part is Rebecca who graciously accepted our hotel coupon and at my request showed me our room before we registered. We will definitely stop on our way back home.
