Average, I guess? The Hampton Inn Lanett - West Point, AL, was not great but not terrible. First impression was good. All the staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and helpful. However, the bathroom sink drained very slowly and it took a really long time to get hot water in either the sink or shower. There was dirt in the corners of the bathroom and what appeared to be a toe-nail clipping. The bottom of the shower and shower doors had black mold or mildew. The floor of the bedroom area was vinyl or laminate so you felt grit on bare feet. I used slippers or sandals the whole time. The mattress wasn’t terrible but was low to the ground and could stand replacing. Commode was very short.

Not So Happy Birthday Celebration I went to this hotel for my son was turning 13 yrs of age and wanted a turnaround for him to enjoy. After we got there and got settled before diner, the TV kept going in and out. After several times, I call front desk and the young lady advised me to jingle the cord on the back of TV. I explained that I was not going to do that. I asked can I be moved to another room for I did not want to stay in a room with no TV. The front desk worker was getting irrated because I called about the TV. I wanted to relax and watch TV and that was a must. Then she stated because it was raining that was the case. Due to the rain, I did not want to drive back home, so I stayed, and it got better. Then while I was sitting on the bed, I was looking at the stand where you can put your clothes in and noticed something was in it. It was some dirty clothes. I was in such disbelief. I went down to the front desk to advise about the clothes and she stated she was going to call the manager for the hotel was full. So we left to get someting to eat and nothing happened, radio silence. If it had not been for the rain, I would have left that hotel. When I checked out before time that morning, I had mention to a diffrent front desk agent and she stated there were no notes for the supervisor to contact me and no mentioned of the dirty clothes. I stated I would like for someone to contact me and 18 days later, no one have reached out to me. I am going to contact Corporate at this time. As my son stated Not so Happy 13th birthday.

It was okay, but... The facility itself is amazing, clean, and well maintained throughout. Staff was 'mixed', some were very friendly and exceedingly helpful, others were less so. It did seem some non handicapped employees were parking in the reserved handicap parking, others were parking in the parking reserved for Hilton Diamond members.

Best hotel in the area!! We stayed here overnight while we were seeing Fantasy of Lights at Callaway Gardens. It’s a little ways away, but well worth it. The hotel was immaculate and well kept. They have a coffee bar available at all times which is nice. The pool area was also nice. I like that it opens to the patio in the summer to give it an outdoor feel. The free breakfast was so good and had a lot of great options you may not find at other complimentary hotel breakfasts. Lori was in charge of the breakfast area on the morning that we stayed and she was phenomenal about keeping everything refilled and clean. And she did it all with a smile and no attitude which seems rare in the service industry these days. I was very impressed with her service and attention. Great hotel, great service.

Family Reunion/Vacation First time staying at Hampton Inn and Suites. Upon our arrival for a family reunion, I noticed how updated and modern the lobby was. The desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming. The room was absolutely beautiful, sleek, modern and clean which is a huge plus for me. I also like the shower; it was a walk-in shower instead of tub/shower combo. I didn't like the tile on the floor because I'm use to carpet although it was a nice touch. Overall, I definitely would recommend this hotel and will stay again when I'm in this area.
