Thanksgiving family road trip My family and i traveled to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving day this was to visit with my grandson for the very first time. Our hotel stay was very impressive. The rooms were nicely cleaned. Staff made us feel welcome the entire time of our stay. It was only an over night stay for use all. Also, the hotel was pet friendly, so, there were quite of few dogs within the hotel. But it seemed to be quite throughout the day and night.

Just OK stay, property needs some attention As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I like to stay in different properties across the Hilton portfolio. On a recent trip to the Philadelphia area, I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Pennbrook train station and its ~ hour ride from and to 30th Street Station. As always, I checked in digitally the day before arrival and chose a room. Knowing I was arriving by train, and how close the train station and tracks are to the hotel, I chose a room facing a different direction from the tracks. Thus no train noise ever would bother me. Just as I heard the train horns while aboard said SEPTA trains, I did not complain about them, as they were expected. Upon arrival, I had not received a Digital Key to access my room, which meant I did have to visit the front desk. Despite having indicated my arrival at the earliest check-in time, my room was not yet ready. However I was accommodated in a similar room down the hall on the same side of the hotel NOT facing the train tracks. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel appeared to have been either new or recently renovated, and it was quick cool on a hot August day. The elevator was awkward and slow. Instead of 2 or more elevators adjacent to one another, they were in separate parts of the building and seemed to take forever to get to and from the 6th floor. The suite was surely amply sized for my needs, plenty of space to spread out. WiFi, and climate control worked fine. TV was OK, but one of the two remotes was not working properly so I had to carry the one working remote between the two rooms. Bathroom had enough counter space to put down my toiletries. My biggest problem was a smoke detector that for some reason had a flashing light on it that lit up the room. Once the lights were out for sleeping, this thing was flashing at an inconsistent pattern, so bright that I could detect it with my eyes closed. Not conducive for sleeping!! Overall, with all the hotels available and close to transit in the area, I likely won't stay here again. Despite what appeared to be recent renovations, much work is still needed to bring this up to the standards one expects.

Ants!!! I just checked in and there are ants in the bathroom. It’s not clean. The front desk couldn’t or wouldn’t do anything about it at all so I am stuck here. There is no customer service. And the problems with the room are not aligned with the high price and general quality you would expect from a Hilton.

Choo Choo Choose your room carefully. All aboard? On the positive, the staff is excellent and although an older property, it is maintained decently. The elevator closest to the lobby would be in the mix for world's slowest. Around the corner in the back is a much faster one that obviously has been updated. It is worth the extra steps to reach it. So, are you a "light sleeper." The staff says light sleepers don't like the rooms situated closest to the adjacent train with a frequent and obnoxious train whistle that blasts through night. Once passenger trains sleep, there are still freight trains, a la 2 a.m. We switched the second night to a quieter room. It still was not exactly quiet. Keep the fan running, or stay elsewhere. Unless of course you sleep through everything. The train sound would be okay but for the persistent really annoying horn.

Not good Poor breakfast, loud a/c, poor customer service. Only good thing was the maintenance man who made sure we get another room after a sleepless night because night reception did not take us seriously.. Breakfast too many people in line for toaster
