Motel 8 Laramie

Unpleasant mistake Shocked at the boost in prices in our usual Laramie lodgings, after reading the positive reviews here we decided to book at this budget motel. I wish we had shelled out the extra $50. We were too tired to change the room after checking in, and the bedding and bathroom were quite clean. But there was an inescapable smell of dirty feet in the room, like the one you get if you accidentally spill the contents of the vacuum cleaner bag. It seemed like nobody had cleaned -- or maybe even vacuumed -- the wall-to-wall in many, many years. I wore my shoes until I got into bed and hoped there wouldn't be any respiratory consequences later. The smell disturbed my sleep. Also, the controls on the air conditioner weren't working. It was stuck in high-fan and freezing, although in Wyoming most nights are usually cool even in August. We turned it off and had to endure the outside noises. If you can afford something better, you probably want to find it.

Excellent pet friendly hotel This is an excellent pet friendly hotel with exterior access for ease of loading and unloading pets and luggage. The room was clean, well appointed, the beds were comfortable and everything worked. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant across the parking lot - Corona Village - is excellent. This is a great place to stay, especially travelling with pets.

Don’t confuse this with the ‘other 8 ‘ motel… This is ten times better than any of the other ‘8’ motels by far!! Great room for the price. Couldn’t find a thing wrong with it!! Beds were very comfy. Bedding was Snow White and fresh, just like all the towels. Everything in the room was clean and the smell when I first opened the door was wonderfully fresh!!! No mysterious stains anywhere…on anything. The only problem that some might have is that there is no stale continental breakfast in the lobby waiting for you to come along and crack a tooth. They rec-commend that you go to Praire Roses restaurant, for breakfast! Can’t wait to check that out. One of the most quiet motels I’ve EVER been in!!

Good Value for Convenient, Clean, Comfortable Place The Motel 8 is very convenient to I80. It is not a new facility, but the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a coffee maker, mini refrigerator and a microwave in the room and we were able to park just outside the room, which made it east to get our cooler and suitcases into and back out of the room. The price was right!

Decent Interstate Hotel Motel 8 takes a page from Motel 6, basic accommodation at a decent price. The room was dated, but clean and everything worked. The shower was good, as was the WiFi. A fair bit of noise from the freeway. It's a bit of a walk to downtown Laramie, but not overly long. Lots of restaurants and mini-marts are near at hand. Check in was easy and the clerk was polite and helpful. I would stay here again.
