Stay away This hotel should be on the Avoid at all cost list , front desk agent Marie is new but she tried her best and she is nice ,she was left overnight with little training drove all the way from Houston Texas 14 plus hours , check in took an hour finally got it right . Had 2 rooms one room was unbearable dead roaches , dirty sheets and filled trash cans , they moved half the family to another room , my room was just as dirty without the roaches but my AC did not work , they don’t have breakfast or a pool , the vending machine steals money and the manager Erica has yet to call as requested

An Unpleasant Welcome to This Sleep Inn After six very pleasant greetings and introductions at Choice Hotels in Texas and New Mexico during my recent road trip, I encountered "Awful Amanda" in Las Cruces! After introducing myself as a Choice Hotels Elite Member (gold when my reservation was made in March, but platinum in May during my stay in Las Cruces), I encountered Amanda who may be the most disrespectful, inhospitable, and worst Choice Hotels receptionist I have ever met. If it had not been a "Graduation Weekend" in Las Cruces, I would have cancelled my reservation and gone somewhere else. Twice, without success, I complained to supervisory staff at the Sleep Inn and still experienced problems with "Awful Amanda" the next day. In going through previous reviews, I found that this employee had problems with previous guests. I have gone through the many inappropriate behaviors exhibited by "Awful Amanda" with two supervisory personal at this Sleep Inn and will not detail them here. Why the Inn continues to employee such a terrible representative of its brand, I will never understand. Hopefully, after my comments and those of others, this Sleep Inn will take some action. If nothing else, "Awful Amanda" needs intense training in dealing with customers, proper behavior while on duty, and anger management! With the exception of "Awful Amanda," I found other members of the staff at this Sleep Inn to be very pleasant and helpful. I specifically dealt with and received excellent service from Fidel, Francia, Lori, and Rene. Erica, the on-duty manager was also very pleasant and helpful, but unsuccessful in dealing with "Awful Amanda." My room was clean and reasonably priced; I enjoyed my two nights there. As previously mentioned , I was at the Inn during "Graduation Weekend" at New Mexico State. For this reason, the Inn was overcrowded and multiple problems involving space and food supplies occurred during breakfast. On a normal morning, I do not think these problems would have taken place. Without the problems I had with "Awful Amanda," my rating of this Sleep Inn would have been higher. This Choice Hotels' property is very close to New Mexico State University and convenient for anyone seeking a clean, reasonably priced room near the University.

Good Pillow Top Bed - Clumsy Air Conditioner I stayed in Quality Inn University El Paso the night before. Though it isn't an amazing sleep Inn, I had a great sleep here. It is 1000x better than the quality Inn. Pillow top, comfy blanket, refrigerator, no microwave though. they had a heated pool open till midnight. i asked for deodorant which they had. eggs, sausage, and waffle for breakfast. open apples for fruit. no orange juice but apple juice in a flask. the rate here was pretty good. thought there was enough value for the price. the room wasn't well vacuumed. i stepped on some sharp stuff on the floor. will stay here again.

Good Staff, but Some Problems We ended up checking in a bit early and there was nobody at the front desk. We waited a while before someone came. She was a little miffed that we were there early, but changed her attitude a bit when she found out we were Diamond Members. We did receive our welcome gifts for Choice Members, We had a room with 2 beds, but those rooms have no microwave or fridge like the King suites do, even though the credenza has built in space for both. The beds were comfortable, but we were missing hand towels. The room was clean, however I kept getting a whiff of something that smelled like dog kibble. It was the strongest upon re-entering the room, but with the air conditioner going, or the window open, the smell kept haunting me! The next morning as I sat by the window it almost made me sick, so I bent down and found a pile of kibble under the chair and air conditioning unit! I knew there was NOT supposed to be any pets in that room because there was a sign at the check-in counter of specific pet friendly rooms. I scooped it up and asked to speak to the manager when we went for breakfast, since someone (probably the people from the previous night) had smuggled a dog in. She wasn't in, but the friendly guy at the counter made a note of it immediately (and the missing hand towels) and when we checked out we spoke to the assistant manager. She wrote it down, and said that the manager would likely add some Choice Privileges points to my account to make up for the inconvenience. I was never contacted, and there were NO points added to my account, other than the bonus points for being elite members. Breakfast was very good,. When we told them about the dog kibble, I also mentioned that the breakfast was about the best we'd had in any hotel. The guy looking after it was very attentive, and made sure everything was re-stocked. He was also the guy behind the desk, and turns out it was his very first day on the job. There was also a huge problem with the screens in the room. They were NOT secure, and were dangerous for kids, pets, or anyone leaning against them, especially on the top floors. I mentioned this in a review for here a few years ago, obviously they haven't been fixed. They also rattle in the wind.
