Friendly helpful staff, clean and easily navigable, fun hotel/casino I have limited mobility and requested a room near the elevator but got one almost as far as possible. Called the front desk in tears, and the woman was AMAZING! Asked if I needed an accessible room, a lower floor, someone to bring a new key, a bellhop to take my luggage... everything to help me get relocated. Never had such service!! I will recommend Exalibur to everyone just for this!! The rest of the review-- everything was great as far as the room, very clean and recently updated. If you have mobility issues there's a rideshare entrance right at the base of the ROYAL tower so definitely choose that for easy access. The front entrance is a bit of a hike and the stupid floors are all carpet so wheely luggage is difficult but that's where the taxis are if you are leaving from the hotel and don't want to hike back to the tower entrance. They have virtual keys that you can get without having to stop at the desk, which was wonderful. You need them for the elevator so make sure you get it downloaded before you arrive. (It won't show you the room info until it's ready but you can download anytime.) Drinks at Tiki Lounge were good and reasonable ($16), Baja Fresh was the winner for good food at a decent price, Johnny Rockets was INSANE ($35 for a double cheeseburger combo!) and $6 for a soda at the Essentials shop. So definitely bring your own snacks if you're on a budget! We did the Tournament of Kings show, it was a good time but mostly fun for the novelty of it. Food is ok, seating was very comfortable for a larger person so was pleasantly surprised about that. RIDICULOUS and unnecessary flash bangs so prepare your kids and bring earplugs if you have them. I don't normally mind pyrotechnics but these were a whole other level (it was the Christmas show so not sure what they have normally). There's also a huge arcade on this level which looked fun, didn't try it, but there's only one entrance to the ToK stadium so the line snakes all the way through the arcade. Just get there 5 minutes before showtime and avoid the line, nothing to be gained by arriving early other than a long noisy wait in line. They also had a free luggage checkin spot right by the main entrance so if arriving early or leaving late you don't have to tote your bags everywhere. The guy doing check in was super nice, as was everyone we encountered our entire stay. It's nothing super fancy but all in all it was great and would definitely stay again!

Ok It is our goal to experience all of the MGM properties at least once. It was Excalibur's turn. We stayed in one of the "newly renovated" rooms in the Royal Tower. Pros-proximity to other properties and the strip, carpet was newer so didn't feel icky walking around barefoot, it was decently quiet considering the families and dogs, minimal smell transference although sometimes smelled faint cigarette smells, decently clean, decent food court and other activities, dinner show is fun. Cons-for a newly renovated room I was expecting more. The furniture showed some wear, the bedside table had scratches, stains, the artwork was peeling around the edges, the tiles in the bathroom were scratched, the countertop had a crack in it, the toilet tank wasn't secure, the wallpaper had stains on it, the bathroom door had rusty hinges, the best thing was definitely the newer carpet, the mattress seemed newer as well but the headboard had some worn areas. It definitely felt like used furniture which I know properties will do this. Overall, the price we paid for our stay was worth it but I prefer other MGM properties over this one.

Average budget hotel. Stayed here for a trip to Universal's Horrors Unleashed. I understand its a budget hotel, and I like the themeing.. but when I found gum behind my pillow after laying down, I was super grossed out. That either meant my pillows werent changed out, or that housekeeping saw it and covered it up. Other than that, it was okay aside from check-in issues and an occasional bartender giving us poor service because we look young.

I had a great big visit. The room could’ve been a little bit cleaner. It did have a smell, but I do appreciate accommodations. T Check in went in very smooth no problem. The groom had a great view. We were on the 26th floor looking at the strip. We checked in Monday and left Thursday. With myself and my daughter. Good experience, but the room did have a smell and the bathroom could’ve been a little bit cleaner, but I I wish the room did not have a smell. I did not bring any Febreze or anything I could not get rid of it, but I know the hotel is old, but maybe you could work on it. I do appreciate your accommodations. I don’t know if I will book another trip there. Thank you again.
