Husband’s First Experience in Vegas, Gone From Bad to Truly Amazing ! This experience truly deserved a review. My husband and I booked a getaway just the two of us for some rest & relaxation in Vegas - to take in a concert. Vegas has a lot to offer for accommodation choices - we did our research. I work within the hotel industry - so I have options with my own brand for discounts. We picked the GN based on a few criteria: reviews and location. We planned the rest of our itinerary around the hotel. We arrived at 1:30am- the free parking was full due to the pool party. We had to pay for Valet parking - we were exhausted and just wanted to sleep after 24 hours of travelling from Canada. We arrived in the room, the shower didn’t work- trickle of water, rusted tub, phone didn’t work - we went to sleep exhausted and frustrated. Not the best first experience in Vegas for my husband. I woke up around 5am - went down to the desk. THIS is where the GN truly stepped up. I explained very nicely to the manger on duty our situation. I didn’t get mad, throw things - swear at her - just simply explained what happened and gave the GN an opportunity to meet us halfway due to the situation. They immediately moved us to another room - an upgrade by far and removed our resort fee which would cover the cost of the valet. Way to go Golden Nugget. In customer service, we cannot prevent these issues from happening but we sure can try our best when presented with the problem. This is exactly what they did! Amazing customer service! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The MacDonalds

Good stay Stayed in the carson tower, Was a long walk from the casino to the room. Beds where comfortable, the room was clean and had nice table and chairs but no mini fridge. We did the early check in and got charged $25. The casino area getting to the room can be hard sometimes with the amount of people and theres this support beam that is in the middle of the walkway that can make it hard to get around. Did eat at Cjs it was pricy but what i had was good. The casino floor has a good selection of games, what i would like to see is a balance of old and newer games. I will be back for another trip later this year.

Terrible hospitality Disappointing …. At check in they gave us 2 double rooms with 1 double bed while we booked 2 quadruple rooms. Our travel agent also sent all of our names to the hotel, so they knew we were a party of 7. But the reception did not cooperate with us and blamed our travel agency. We had to pay extra (a lot regarding the room rate at the moment) we had no choice. This is it, or leave and look for another hotel they told us. (At 11.00 pm…. After a long trip from Europe). Also check-in is done by selfservice and it didn’t work properly. They blamed us for not listenig to them and doing it wrong. We were very disappointed in this unfriendly behavior. Then afterward we accidentally left a polo bear tshirt (new) in the room. No responce to any email we have send. And by phone they said: the room is clean by now. Nothing to be checked. Very bad guest service and hospitality.

EARLY CHECK-IN FEES NOT DISCLOSED TO CUSTOMERS BEFORE 4PM CHECK-IN TIME1 Hotel Kiosk did not notify me of an early check-in fee of $29.00. Didn’t realize I had the charge on my bill until I checked out. This is false pretentious customer service by Golden Nugget. Early check-in fees apply for anyone checking in before 4pm. Ridiculous!

Terrible visit, very dated room, will never stay there again We came to Vegas for our 30th wedding anniversary. Our room was old and outdated. Even though we paid a $45 resort fee, we were going to be charged $50 each to SIT on a chair at the pool. Crazy and not disclosed anywhere that we had to pay to use the pool where we were staying. Very busy, crowded, and loud. We never ate or gambled at Golden Nugget. The very last night, we got a text that our room had water damage from an over flowing tub 5 floors above ours.. I had $400 worth of items ruined, they sent us to a new room at 10 pm. We had an early flight and needed to leave for airport at 4:30 am. They acted like moving us to a new room was doing us a favor. Almost 2 months later nobody calls me back regarding my damaged property. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Stayed at Golden Nugget 10 years ago and don’t think any updates have been done. Stay anywhere downtown, stay away from Golden Nugget
