Get what you pay for Just got back from our Anniversary/New Years trip. We had a good experience at the Luxor previously and decided to stay there again. The check in process was about a 30-45 minute wait because the resort had my name wrong from my travel agent so I was unable to check in virtually. Upon checking in, we were given a room on the 11th floor in the pyramid. This room was moldy, ceiling in shower was peeling off, AC unit was very loud.noisy, and room was not cleaned well. The hotel di give us another oil on the 8th floor. When we arrived to that room, it was smaller, chairs were stained as if someone threw up on them, and floors had crumbs all over. Having stayed in the towers last time and with those rooms being newer, we requested a room out there as we struck out twice with pyramid rooms. Unfortunately the tower room was not much better. The room was newer, however the bathroom floor was stained, glitter all over the place by one of the floor lamps, and again, not vacuumed very well at all. The second morning there was a roach on one of our towels. There is a reason the Luxor is one of the cheaper resorts in Vegas. It’s older and rooms are not maintained very well.

Stay away from luxor Stay somewhere else. Check in is horrible. Managers do not care and neither did the staff. One person working with 30 people in line.

Not worth it Customer service was rude and not helpful. Paid for an upgrade for a city view...ended up in the tower looking at the roof. When we spoke to customer service the lady was rude and said that no view is guaranteed and there is nothing they will do. Extremely rude. Also, trying to order room service about 430 and no place was open. Mold was in the bathroom of our room as well.

Shoes On. Lights On. Regret On. I would strongly recommend booking a different hotel. I chose the renovated section because it was advertised as newer, but the room was absolutely disgusting. The so-called option for fresh air was laughable. I understand not having windows that fully open, but there was virtually no airflow at all. The entire hotel, including the room, reeked of cigarette smoke, and the staff were generally unfriendly. I would not stay here again, even if the price is lower than other nearby hotels. The amount of staining throughout the room was repulsive. I’m usually able to stay in hotels without much concern, but this was the kind of place where you keep your shoes on, wear long shirts and pants, and nervously slide into bed hoping there are no bed bugs. Also worth mentioning this hotel is famously haunted. We did experience some genuinely creepy moments, but given everything else, that somehow was not even the most unsettling part of the stay.

Poop water in shower - Do Not Stay!!! This hotel is disgusting. On the first day, our shower wouldn’t drain and gross standing water sat in the shower until we finally were able to get ahold of someone to drain it. That night, the toilet started overflowing and we called the hotel over and over and they said they would send someone to help and they never did, so we had to use all of our towels to sop up the toilet water. The second day, the toilet continued to overflow with no help in sight, the shower didn’t drain again, and then literal poop water came shooting out of the shower drain and just stayed there with ZERO help from The staff. It was horrifying. You try to call ANYONE and you’re put on hold for 20 minutes and when you do talk to someone, they are completely unhelpful. This hotel was horrifying.
