MGM Grand Hotel & Casino

Crime haven Beautiful hotel, but terribly ridden with crime. The phone stealing / pickpocket is rampant. If safety is a priority, I would avoid MGM Grand.

MGM Grand Stay It was my first time staying at the MGM Grand. I would like to especially recognize Rena at the Front Desk. She was exceptionally personable, helpful and friendly. She offered multiple options at check in to find the right amenities for the stay and also offered restaurant recommendations. Rena is fantastic! The overall hotel experience was very nice. We had excellent dinners at Chef Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak and Chef Emeril's New Orleans Fish House - the meal was top notch at both and the service was even better.

Never again. You’ve been warned! Took a week for some R n R and see some shows and booked my 7 days at MGM. Was put on the 12th floor for around $1200. I celebrated until I came in to go to bed. Not only are the pipes in the bathroom from the neighbors really loud but it was one helicopter after another flying tourists around coming right at the window and sometimes over that section of the building. Ok- really old windows so little soundproofing from there, neighbors and pipes with air in them? Next day, went down and asked to be moved to another section of the building. Sure they moved me down to the 4th floor on the opposite side. Now my view is of a wall of windows, still get to hear the water pipes from the neighbors bathrooms and now the air conditioner does a knocking sound when it comes on. Yes, I wear earplugs to help the noise to sleep and yet it’s so loud it wakes me several times throughout the night. See pics and video. I’m not a complainer but come on! I’ve worked hard for my $. I would advise anyone coming to Vegas to stay anywhere else but MGM. They need some serious soundproofing upgrades on the windows, floors and for goodness sakes- the water pipes! They seem to be very greedy and don’t care at all about their patrons only their $! I thought the gal moving me was so kind until I found where she moved me to and even told me her boss wanted to charge me more for doing it. Seriously? Never again! Go to a newer hotel or take a chance on suffering the same issue. Do better MGM!

Great stay We have stayed at MGM a few times and this was probably the best stay we have had here. It was midweek at the end of January and was not very busy so that helped. The room was standard for MGM which is nice. We did not run into any problems so over all a good stay. Had breakfast at there new cafe and it is Vegas priced but was good food.
