New York- so happy Great food, slots and staff! We come here every year but it just gets better and better. New York is definitely our favorite hotel on the strip. best experience with all staff, but Diana in the gift shop was so friendly and helpful when I was having a rough time. It was much appreciated and put sunshine in my day

NEVER AGAIN WE have been travelling from Ireland almost every year to Vegas for almost 30 yrs & this was without a doubt the worst room we have ever been given in all the hotels we have stayed in & that includes imploded ones!! We stayed on a 4nt comp over Valentines/Presidents day weekend & had booked an Accessible room as one of us is blind & partly disabled so we tried to check in early around noon but were told room would be resdy shortly & theyd message us but 3 hrs later still no message so went back to check & they tried to say theyd emailed us but NEVER did. They said the only room available was in the Chrysler Building so we set off to find it & take it from me trying to find this place was worse than a needle in a haystack No signs at all to guide anyone to this elusive building! Eventually we found in & took the lift to the 29th floor to what can only be described as a NIGHTMARE of a room! All right it had the 2 beds we requested crammed in but there wasnt room to swing a cat & to crown things out it was right beside the rollercoaster. The furniture consisted of a black square steel tube frame with 2 tiny cupboards that held a light jacket & 3 shirts each & there shoukd have been 3 drawers but 1 was missing also there was no luggage stand as there was no place to put it or even store your case after it was emptied so 1 case had to sit on the small table that was squeezed in beside the window. The beds were well made & clean so next thing was the accessible bathroom which was a shambles as it had a bathtub which for a blind disabled person was a nightmare but reception said it was all they had available due to the holiday weekend so in otherwords your on a comp so you will take what we give you. The bathroom despite the tub was clean & housekeeping done a good job each day, The rollercoaster is supposed to stop at midnight but was still running with squealing girls after 12-30am so bang goes that theory. The hotel other that the room was very busy Food options especially in the village are plentiful. Greenbergs deli is fantatsic especially their hot brisket sandwich Toms watch bar is good for food incl breakfast & America is a good all rounder! but the room was so disappointing that we will be giving NYNY a wide bearth in future trips. Only for the eateries it would have been getting 1 star. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Try a different hotel Our first room reeked of cigarettes and faced a cement wall. After three phone calls they did move us and this room did not smell. But they have rap music playing near the entrance of the hotel and you couldn’t even think in your room during the day. All you heard was bam bam bam from the street level. Casino is suffocating with all of the smoke. Lots of fairly inexpensive places to eat. Especially like the crepes. Do not stay here. It’s old and the carpets have duct tape holding them down. Park mgm is so much better.

Great room, very disappointing casino vibe Overall, we had a very good stay at New York-New York, mainly because of how great the room was. Our room was amazing. It was spacious, comfortable, and having a mini fridge was a huge plus. Everything felt clean and well-kept, and the hallways were very bright and inviting, which made the hotel feel safe and modern. We were really happy with the room and had no complaints at all about that part of our stay. Now for the downside: the casino. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy it. The layout is confusing and doesn’t make much sense, which makes it hard to navigate. It also feels outdated, with more old slot machines than newer ones. Compared to other casinos on the Strip and downtown, it feels smaller and much less exciting. The lighting is very dim, and the overall vibe just isn’t fun or energetic. We barely gambled here and ended up going to other casinos instead. That says a lot, because we usually love spending time in casinos. So while this hotel is a great place to stay and sleep — especially because of the rooms — the casino experience was a big disappointment. If you’re mainly here for a comfortable place to stay, you’ll probably love it. But if casino vibes matter to you, you may want to plan to play elsewhere.

Poor hospitality in an entirely manufactured area of Vegas Good points: - Decent location if you want to stay on the strip. Bad points - The hotel doesn't do basic hospitality. For example they won't leave a bottle of water in your room, not even on the first night. This is very poor indeed and says a lot about the focus of the hotel. - The strip feels like a soulless Disney Land, the downtown area is much more interesting and you can have a beer with locals etc. - The roller coaster going around the hotel means that while you may want to sleep you have to listen to people screaming and the sound of the roller coaster itself.
