Mid-Week stay in Freemont Street My wife and I decided to stay off the strip in Vegas and The D turned out to be a good choice. Check-in was easy and since it was mid-week our room was ready earlier than the normal check in time for no additional cost. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient (shout out to Chelisa) and the free beer at check in was a nice addition. The corner room on the 33rd floor was clean and comfortable, and we had no issues although most of the windows were covered with a see-through black coating, I'm sure to keep the sun from heating the room too much but it did spoil any view of the mountains. The room faced Freemont Street, and we were told it might be a bit noisy, so we were prepared for the music lasting until 1 or 2 in the morning, but it wasn't so bad. The exercise room was lame and had no disinfectant wipes for the machines and the pool on the property is not worth going to. We were offered a free pass to the Circa Stadium pool each day and if you want to relax that's not the place to go. As impressive as it was the music was so loud I could barely have a conversation. I guess I'm getting old. All in all I think The D was a good value and I recommend it for a short stay away from the strip in Vegas.

It was OK We stayed at the D because my Husband stayed there last year and they sent us a Comp 2 night stay. When my husband made the reservations the lady said the rooms were on the lower floors (which can be really noisy), for extra $10 a night we could get above the 14th floor, plus the comp rooms you still had to pay resort fees. We were staying for 3 days, so 2 comp days one reg day and $10 extra for each night to get a higher floor. We get there, desk person (who was really nice) said we had one comp night and one at 10% off and then a full night. Not what we reserved, he said he could not help us at the desk we would have to go to another area to get it straighten out. We just stood in like for 15 minutes to get checked in and didn't want the hassle so we just took what they gave us. We figured we would go talk to the "other" desk when we were done so we wouldn't have to stand in line again. We did get on the 30th floor which really helped with the noise. Room was very plain, they gave us a two queen, great view, no fridge, no safe, no coffee maker, just very bare bones, small tv, small dresser/desk area that tv was on. Beds were decent, comfortable. They only give you shampoo and 2 towels, 2 hand towels and two wash clothes. They cleaned our room after the first day, but not after the second day. We still could hear the music from Freemont street (plays until 2am every night). If you want a cheap bare bones room with a hotel with next to no amenities and very few eating places this works. For us we want a little more comfort. Also, if your going to comp rooms, then comp them, they should be free, not nickel and dime you once you get there. Probably won't stay there again.

Do not stay here if you want to sleep Will not go back. The music from Fremont Street is so loud you cannot hear yourself think inside your own hotel room. The music lasts until midnight on weekdays and 1-2am on weekends. It made the trip miserable.

Hot. We get to our room, it’s hotter inside than outside. The guy comes to fix the a/c removes the whole unit and puts a new one in. The new one is broken too. Mind you it’s summer and 100+ degrees out. They blame it on the window being open. We ask for a refund and leave. To be fair- the room was clean and they didn’t give us any trouble when asking for a refund. But they did not offer a different room, or an upgrade of any kind.

Bed bugs in the Casino! YIKES! We didn't book a stay at the D but visited to play the last remaining Sigma Derby game in their casino. We played for close to an hour and as we left, I felt a really bad itch on the back of my left calf. My husband checked my leg when we got back to our own hotel and it was pretty gnarly. :( It really ruined our trip as we had to spend time washing all our clothes and double checking everything we owned to make sure we didn't bring any bugs back with us.
