Hotel Trilogy Albany Airport, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Go Elsewhere Stayed here for one night as a stopover hotel. Due to the fact that this property is part of the Trilogy Collection and that I had read many very positive reviews on this site, we had high expectations for this hotel. When we checked in last night, the guy working the desk simply gave me our key with no greeting and no acknowledgement of my Hilton Honors status. The interior design of the room was very ordinary. The flooring was very cheap product that had already started to buckle up. The bathroom was very small and cramped feeling. The high point was the shower was decent but it was very odd that when I grabbed my towel, an old door stopper fell from it !? The biggest negative of the room was the HVAC system. It is such an old unit and it’s soooo loud. It had previously been turned off and when we got too warm, we turned it on only to hear how loud it was. After neither of us could fall asleep, we turned it back off. This morning I am blowing blood from my nose due to the extreme dryness in the room. The breakfast that previous reviews had raved about was set up in the bar area. We had expected a real restaurant comparable to what you would find in a Holiday Inn property. We refused to eat breakfast in a bar area, and just decided to leave. When I asked the girl at the desk for my receipt, she did NOT even look up from her computer and just put it on the desk top for me. NO eye contact or “thank you for staying with us”. With so many lodging options available in the Albany area, we would never stay at this property again and would never recommend it to future guests. We stay overnight in Albany typically 6-8 times per year and next time we will return to our usual nearby Marriott properties.

Work trip Overall a nice stay. No issues. I would more than likely stay here again. Room was nice. Convenient to many restaurants just a few minutes away. Bar is nice as well although $6.50 for a bottle of miller lite seems quite excessive. Will likely stay here again for business.

Great location near Albany Airport Great location and nice room. I was very concerned about the bathroom as we were placed in a handicapped room with a very slippery bathtub (we are not handicapped). Once the tub was wet, it became very hard to get in and out. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent! We loved it!

Above and beyond! First off let me say, this is a lovely hotel in a very convenient location with an amazing breakfast and terrific coffee. What more could a business traveler ask for? Well, when your car won't start and you have to be at a speaking engagement, you couldn't ask for better people! Not only did the front desk and support staff come to my aid, but the owner of the hotel moved his truck next to my car to give it a jump. Then, he gave me directions to the nearby dealership, called my phone so I'd have his number in case of emergency and asked me to text when I arrived. I not only made it to the dealership, I made it to my speaking engagement and picked up my car with new battery at 5. I sent him a text to let him know all went well. The staff went above and beyond. It's not easy for a woman traveling alone and it was comforting to know someone was watching out for you. So, thank you Albany Trilogy for treating this Diamond member like Platinum. All the best! Average at best The hotel staff were very friendly. The room HVAC was having issues. I went into the room and it was 75 degrees. I was able to cool it but then the heater would come on. Breakfast is not til 7am. The shower was great with water pressure. Menu choices were average.
