FRIENDLY FACES Outstanding front desk personnel, on day and swing shift. They were very helpful along with the site manager. The morning breakfast was filling, and everything was fresh. The rooms have comfortable beds and plenty of outlets for your electronics. The maid service was amazing. You had a request and it was addressed in timely manner. When you leave this property, you leave good friends behind.

STAY AWAY Staff was not friendly and you can tell they did not want to be there. Breakfast bar ran out of food and the breakfast attended did not seem to care as we had to ask for things to be replaced. Was checked into a room that did not have a smoke detector connected. Furniture was old and beat up. Mold in Bathroom. Did not feel safe with the smoke detector not installed.

Mold in Bathroom Was extremely disappointed in the outside condition of the motel and horrified at the amount of mold on the bathroom floor and baseboards, totally unacceptable! I thought it was mildew and we stayed. I now realize it was mold, black, and wish we had refused the room.

Convenient for a one night stay Chose here to stay for the location - easy access right off Hwy 5. Arrived in the evening and first came in on the wrong side and found a rather messy and bumpy parking area with a couple of pickup trucks straddling the spaces. Was a bit put off by this unwelcoming, abandoned appearance. Then found our way to the front of the hotel where there was better lighting and everything looked more normal, although parking spaces a bit tight right in front - seemed to be for compacts but most people had bigger cars all squeezed tightly together so safer to park just a few steps away with more room. The lobby with self service coffee/tea station was a bit dark under greenish fluorescent light (it was much nicer seen the next morning in daylight). Check in was easy and quick and we were given a room with two queens in back facing the small pool. Given the less than positive first impression, including a a group of guys hanging outside their rooms a few doors down, drinking and talking loudly, the room was surprisingly clean and spacious, quiet too as it's in the back and after the group went inside before 11. Breakfast was in the small dining room off the lobby. Nice hot items such as fluffy scrambled eggs, sausages, not elaborate but quite adequate for a free breakfast. A solid 3.5 stars - but could use some small improvements to the public and surrounding areas.

Dated rooms Only 2 floors and all rooms enter from the outside not the hotel lobby. The rooms were dated and not very well kept. Our "suite" was disappointing for the price of $124.00 per night. Breakfast was the usual sausages, eggs etc. Although the motel was a bit disappointing the staff were very friendly. Denny's was close by for a quick supper.
