We would stay there again The location was close to restaurants and stores. Just a few miles to Historic Lexington. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and polite. We were across from the elevator, but you couldn't hear people coming and going much at all.

Strong urine smell. Stay elsewhere. Disgusting. Our room reeked of urine. We requested a room change and the second room wasn't much better. Carpeting and upholstery badly stained. The whole place is very dated and dingy. But honestly, once you enter a room and a urine smell smacks you in the face, is there anything more to say?

Not Terrible, but Not Great Either When you travel a lot as I do, it's the little things you notice first that can make a stay great, just average or terrible. This location wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great or exceptional either. On the plus side, the front desk people were pleasant and friendly, the hotel generally clean. The bowl of over ripe brown bananas in the lobby is a turn off. The breakfast room also had a pile of brown bananas, but on day three they finally put some fresh ones out. Aside from the brown rotting bananas, the breakfast was at least a notch above most other hotel breakfasts; they didn't have those synthetic fried tasteless eggs, the eggs almost seemed real, the pastry choices seemed fresh, even the coffee from the machine wasn't half bad. The TV's were cheap Korean made sets, the Channel Guide in the room said HBO was on Channel 16, but you can see Channel 16 on the set in my room. IF HBO was on some other channel, then why not update the guides so they are accurate? Or delete it altogether. Probably the biggest downer was housekeeping, you are supposed to apparently fill out a paper slip and leave it on the outside of the door EVERY DAY if you need anything done. I would have at least expected that they would check waste baskets and dump them, but "Empty Wastebaskets" is not a choice given to the guest (See photo). When I came back to the room on Day 2, nothing was done, but a note was left on the door that I didn't request anything, so I got nothing. Garbage was still in the room. The next night I asked for a couple of towels since I had used a few and left the used wet ones on the floor as is custom at hotels. When I came back the next day, the towels were in a bag by the door in the hallway. Nope, garbage still in the room, the old towels on the floor still there. One would think if you requested towels, they would at least put them in the room and remove the used, wet ones in a pile on the bathroom floor. Not here apparently. I guess if you request something it will be left at the front door, and nothing will be done to the room. Perhaps they should explain this unusual system when you arrive at the front desk. You don't ask, you don't get. Even if you do ask, you seem to get it only as far as the front door. I was there for 3 nights and not once were the wastebaskets emptied. During Covid days, this was commonplace, but c'mon folks, Covid was two years ago and you're still cost cutting on the guest without a reduction in room price. And the bathrooms have the most horrible lighting I ever found at a hotel. The mirrors have like a light in the frame but it's a mercury vapor light so you can't really see anything. It was difficult to see to shave, I can't imagine a woman trying to apply makeup with the horrible lighting in the bathroom. It wouldn't take much to take this hotel to the next level with a few adjustments, but somehow it seems to want to hold itself back by doing things that make a stay less enjoyable.

Great stay, especially for the price! My family of 5 stayed here as a layover night on a long trip up North visiting family for Thanksgiving. The stay was very nice. I loved the bed. It was so comfortable, loved the pillows, and I had a very good sleep. The husband and kids swam in the indoor pool and loved it. Breakfast was decent for a typical continental style. Staff were all very nice and helpful.

Good option at a cheap price Negatives: There were only one recliner in the room. In a King suite we can expect at least 2 seating arrangements. There was a chair with the desk though but we very badly felt the need for a coffee table and a recliner. The recliner was full of dog hair. Those who does not have allergies may not mind, but me and my son immediately started sneezing. Luckily we packed antihistamines. There were dust everywhere. For some reason, dust keeps covering the surface of all the objects in this room. I cleaned them up myself, but after some time, I saw dust again. The blanket felt hard and scratchy like a sheet of paper. The carpet too was dirty, worn out and uncomfortable to walk on. The ac does not have auto mode. So, we had to wake up several times to adjust the heating. Positives: The location is excellent. Not too close to the interstate, neither very far. Walmart, dollar tree and fast food restaurants are within a mile. All the other local attractions are in convenient distance. King bed was large enough to easily fit a couple and a little kid. The Hotel Receptionists are very kind and nice to the guests. I very highly appreciate the thoughtful care and services provided by Alisha and Carolyn during our stay. The heated pool, spa and the mini exercise room were excellent amenities in this hotel. The breakfast arrangements were amazingly over my expectations. The menu had varsities of options, the food items were fresh and high quality. The breakfast serving time is quite long and convenient. So, we didn't see too much crowd. It was a peaceful ambient.
