Old property and totally overpriced As our accommodation in Springfield got cancelled due to a derecho storm we were forced to find an alternative in the area. The Hampton Inn in Lincoln had one room left at $190. The property is old with dark furniture. The carpet in the room looked filthy. The breakfast area was not very clean, dirty tables and trash bin over full. The gentleman at the checking was the only friendly person in this hotel, the rest could not even be bothered greeting. To charge $ 190 for this place is way over the top. Would certainly not return out of own choice.

Beware Let me first say that comfort inn across the street us own by the same people. I thought that place was bad, Hampton was worse. First the place is outdated, there were bugs everywhere and it just stink bugs. Their switchboard for wake up calls was broke so I got two wake up calls Tuesday morning. When I said something to them they said they didn’t call but informed me that the system was broke. As I walked away I heard the lady with the pink or green hair that I was the 3rd person to complain that morning. (Get it fixed)!! Then the housekeeper walked into our room at 8am, I was not dressed appropriately to answer the door. I had just gotten my infant son back to bed when she did this! I was livid!! And she woke up my 4 year old. I only had 4 hours of sleep because it was either super hot or super cold. If you turned it to 70 it was hot as heck and if you turned it to 69 it was cold. They don’t clean rooms or give you fresh towels except for every 4 days. To me that is gross, the towels get soaked for being used after even a day or two. I killed 3 bugs in my room (116) and 8 bugs in the pool ground. There were dead bugs in the spa which was closed. They had mold in the corner of the bath tub in our room. The floor in the pool area was never cleaned because after I liked the bugs Sunday night, my oldest brought my infant son in his car seat down to the pool, the car seat had bug guys on the bottom and I had to clean it off, since it got on the bed cover. The manager was nice but more concerned about the bugs rather than the system being broken and waking up the guest or her housekeeper coming in after two knocks. Look I want these hotel owners and staff members of all positions that we rent these rooms until 11 when check out is. The manager said the reason why they get away with allowing smoking rooms is because they got around the law of a hotel being “a house”. I live by stl and I have yet to find a hotel that allows smoking. I’m a smoker and I would never smoke in a room, it makes the room stink and out of respect for non-smokers. There isn’t much to choose from in Lincoln for a hotel and quality inn are rude. Comfort inn have broken door systems and mildew carpets and barking dogs on the first or second floor who wake everyone up. And then you have Hampton which is supposed to be the nicest hotel. They never cleaned the yard around the hotel or the sidewalks. All the trash was there before we got there and we had stayed for almost 3 full days. It was just disgusting to be there. My family and I will most likely stop either at a town before or after Lincoln. The carpets at the Hampton are outdated and the whole property is outdated. I wish them the best and hope they can remodel, get that wake up call system fixed before they get cussed out and definitely get the bugs taken care of. We had to wash everything to make sure they didn’t come home with us. The RV was nice enough to park in the other parking lot but the managers allow trucks and trailers to take up so many parking spots that you can’t find any spots to park at night. So there were multiple trucks and trailers that parked and we didn’t have a spot. Here are some pictures. I whole give it a 0 stars if I could

Needs all around improvement Everything is bad, rooms, cleanliness, service, location. Very unimpressed. I had to change rooms twice to finally find one that was decent. As a Hilton member I expected more and being a Hilton member made no difference. I received way more benefits and upgraded service through IHG and Marriot

Not up to standard Wish I could post my pictures! Dry rot curtains with holes, lumpy, dirty carpet, stains, mold, bugs in ceiling light, chips in bathtub, had to ask for bottles of water at check-in and no cookies. Sad!

Traveler Beware Not what I expected of a Hilton property at all. Dirty accommodations as if you were staying at a lower quality motel. Would have had a better sleep sleeping in my vehicle in a rest area. Save your money and drive on to a better Hampton Inn.
