Our go-to hotel for West Little Rock Great place to stay in Little Rock, especially for an extended stay. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, full refrigerator, stove and microwave. My husband and I stay here on most family visits. Very close to the big hospital. Many shops and restaurants close by. Manager Thuy Chi welcomed us back by name, clapping and smiling so brightly. She assigned us a room on the first floor! We left some expensive items in the room at checkout, and within an hour Simeon Sprather (front desk) called my cell to say they were holding the items for us. We will stay here again.

Air conditioner games. I stay in IHG properties a lot. I don’t mind that a place is a little dated and run down, and located right beside a busy highway with little to no sound dampening in the walls. What I truly won’t tolerate is a place that plays games with its AC unit, in June, in Little Rock Arkansas. As I sit sweating writing this at a swampy 3:30 am with a long drive in front of me today. You blew it. I’ll never stay here again.

Not as clean as expected I appreciate that Candlewood Suites staff are always friendly and welcoming, whether at this Little Rock location or in other cities. Unfortunately, this location was below expectations where cleanliness and maintenance are concerned. High touch places such as light switches were very dirty--and not just one or two but all of them! The furniture showed definite signs of wear and our room smelled faintly of a meal prepared by the previous occupants. The a\c worked great if you stayed in the living room, but the bedroom was hot. The fan in the wall between the room was dusty and not helpful for moving air between the rooms.

Bed Bugs Bed bug infestation which resulted in bite marks, red scarring, itching, and a visit to the hospital. Advised property manager and requested a refund, was offered pest control support and a room transfer only. Needless to say, I declined managers offer. To protect my health, safety, and peace of mind I checked out early for better accomodations.

Avoid this hotel unless you want a sleepless night The A/C unit shut off after around 20 minutes of no movement in the room. It has a sign that says, “Your suite is equipped with an energy-savings system. It knows when you have left your room and when you return. Please allow 15 minutes for the temperature to return to your desired setting.” It would completely turn off every 20 minutes or so. When I would get up to turn it back it, it realized we were still in the room and kick back on, again, only for about 20 minutes. Kept waking up drenched in sweat since it was 90 degrees outside. Rust on all the appliances. Switch to turn off ice maker was broken, so once an hour there was a heart-stopping crash and then 10 minutes after that a piercing screech from the water refilling. Bathroom air vent was broken and produced a loud, throbbing noise. Toilet handle for stuck and so kept running. Tiny TV. Like, maybe 27 inches and old. Our king size bed had two pillows. Two. Took half an hour to get some more. Uncomfortable desk chair that squeezed my legs like no chair has ever done before. VERY loud. I could hear the people above stomping and running back and forth constantly. Sketchy neighborhood with suspicious looking people hanging around the front of the building. Internet was very slow. It was a nightmare. Never again. Worst hotel experience of the 8 Little Rock hotels I’ve stayed. Staff let me leave and were gracious enough to give me 10 minutes to clear my stuff out.
