Fab little hotel Lovely, quirky hotel in Koreatown. This was booked as part of a multi trip package so choice made for us. CJ on front desk welcomed us on arrival, very friendly and helpful, charming young man. Bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in! Tea and coffee making facilities in room, complimentary wine in evening ( very welcome after long day sightseeing) and restaurant attached for breakfast and dinner. Would definitely recommend and certainly stay again if ever in the area

Unique hotel Stayed here for 3 nights. It was our first visit to Los Angeles. The people at the front desk were always very nice. The foyer of the hotel is lovely. A old building with real character. They do coffee in the morning before the diner next door opens. It was nice to go down and have a coffee before breakfast and going out to explore. Hotel was close to public transport and we used the bus or train to get around. Room was clean and comfortable. Our room looked inwards, not towards the road, and we were never bothered by noise. The wine in the evenings was nice. It was good to come back after exploring and sit in the lovely lounge with a glass of wine. Really enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable hotel in Koreatown We stayed at The Normandie four nights. The room was well appointed, bed comfortable, as well as the old style bathroom. The hotel as a whole is an older building, and it shows here and there, but it gives it character. Less pleasant was the noise as my room as immediately adjacent from the elevator and not well isolated sonically. Also, the Hotel does not have a restaurant, so no breakfast available, aside from coffee, before 9am when the adjacent, and excellent, diner opens (Cassell's). Since I had things to do early, I ended up walking out and getting breakfast to go from a couple of places nearby that open at 7h30. Not the most convenient, but not a deal breaker either... All in all, I enjoyed the hotel, staff was courteous and efficient, everything was clean, albeit a little older, so in the end, a pretty good experience.
