Clean and comfortable, good restaurant next door. The room was basically clean and comfortable, but there were no clothes hooks in the bathroom and only one bar of soap for the shower and lavatory. The toilet would not flush unless the handle was held down. The breakfast was ok but not great. There is a very good restaurant next door.

Stay away if you can Front desk staff was very friendly. Convenient to family. But then you open the door to your room and are immediately hit with an awful smell. I had a total of 5 rooms 1 smoking room and 4 non smoking rooms. Other family members had rooms too. For a total of @ 10 rooms. All rooms were extremely dirty. So this was not an isolated situation. Countertops and bathrooms were disgusting. Dust and spiderwebs everywhere. Pop splattered on the walls and door. Dirty light switches. And door knob handles. Don’t you dare walk barefooted. You might come home with a fungus. We each spent 1/2 hour just wiping everything down everything including the walls with Clorox wipes and spraying Lysol on everything else. My husband joked that the hotel should be paying me. Room had a stale smell until we disinfected everything. In a time of Covid this was very concerning. Everyone took turn using the cleaning supplies I had purchased to make it bearable. I have pictures if you’d like them. There was paint spattered on the bathroom floor and un sanded and unpainted plaster on the walls and doors. Someones sorry attempt at repairs. There was mold growing in the corners of the bathroom and room. I had cigarette burns on my sheets and bathtub ledge. I had a nonsmoking room. Also the cleaning staff has these loud carts that they start rolling around at 8 or 9 am. And they were talking loudly. If you were lucky enough to still be sleeping it would wake you. There was construction going on outside the hotel. Money clearly needs to be spent on the interior. Next time I will definitely plan ahead and never visit this hotel again. I will gladly drive 25 miles to Starkville. Hopefully for a better stay. But not at a Choice hotel. I repeat money clearly needs to be spent on the interior. Rates should have been $30 or less for the condition of these rooms. Just horrible. It felt like a hotel couples would rent by the hour. Not a family or business traveler. Continental breakfast was also a joke. Juice, yogurt and a frozen breakfast sandwich. Where was the fruit? I could go on but I’ve wasted enough of my time on a stay I would rather forget. Never again!! Shame on you Choice Hotels for putting your name on such a horrible place. This place is definitely my last Choice.

50/50 This is only hotel in town and it’s not so bad except a few things. The breakfast is very slack. Nothing is fresh except the fruit. The staff is nice. Rooms are clean. Hotel is being touched up so there are a few out place things on the property. There is a good Mexican restaurant next door. They do accept CLC for truckers and contractors.
