Wanted clean room due to Covid 19 Room appeared clean but had dirt and dust around edges of floor. Floor was sticky to walk on. We cleaned all surfaces with clorox wipes. My wife wore her socks to walk of floor and they got so dirty she thru them away after wearing! If this was a Best Western Plus I would hate to see the rest. They should not let them be a member.

COMPLETELY DISGUSTING HOTEL!!!!! This Extended Stay was a complete nightmare!! The room was disgusting, the whole entire place was disgusting. I was nauseated the entire time that we were there. We did NOT feel safe at this hotel!!! They left a note under our door saying that they were going to do a mandatory check of the a/c in our room at 9am on Sunday, but they didn't show up until around 2pm. My son had fallen asleep, and I was trying to fall asleep. We checked out early, and my son turned in our hotel key/cards. I just talked with a manager and because my son didn't ask to cancel our reservation, they completely refuse to refund us any money. I had the reservation from Friday, May 10th- Friday, May 17th. We are homeless and I don't have any money to buy food at all. And the jerk manager at this hotel refuses to give me any refund at all. Not only that, but he also claims that if we'd "officially" checked out on Monday morning, then we'd owe them $800 because of Texas Tech's graduation. We checked out on Monday, after the graduation. I've just emailed my lawyers about this. The corporate office is giving me the same run around.

Do not stay here!! I understand budget hotel! I do no it understand why this is so terrible. Formica on kitchen counter missing, a window that would not close and no one would come fix it even though other guests had reported it. Why were we even given this room? There were no pots/pans, coffee pot, cups etc. The ac made a horrible noise all night long. There wasn’t even a bedspread on the bed. Just a blanket. The dresser under the Super tiny TV was filthy. Only one night stand. There was not even a chair to sit in! How are you supposed to stay in a hotel room for an extended stay with out a char!!! Attitude from the staff as well.

In Need of Improvement, However Staff is Helpful Positive aspects: The hotel is conveniently located as it is within easy access to the ring road that circles the city of Lubbock. If you have a car, this hotel is within easy access to the medical center/hospital, Texas Tech University, and is within a mile or two of many restaurants and stores. Each employee with whom we interacted was polite and professional. Areas for improvement: Upon entering the room there was a moldy/musty drain smell. Because it was after midnight when we arrived and all other hotels in Lubbock were booked due to a busy university weekend (football game & parents weekend) we decided to take shelter for the night. The next day we brought the issue to staff's attention and they apologized. I can't remember what they suggested for the solution the next day because my husband dealt with it. Later that day after handling business at the medical center & university, we returned to the room and the smell persisted. Granted, it was an unpleasant smell, but considering there weren't any other places to stay, we were able to "tough it out" and tolerate it for another night, although it was not ideal. Fortunately we didn't spend much time in the hotel room since we had business to handle at the medical center and university. To help overcome the offensive smell in the room, we went to Walmart and purchased airfreshners and Febreeze, but the odor was strong and the products were not effective in getting rid of the odor. The next day we brought the concern to front-desk staff and the two women working were very apologetic. We asked them to open the door to our room so they could witness/smell the moldy/musty odor and show that we were not making this up. After they opened the door and smelled the odor, they agreed that a refund was appropriate and refunded us since we decided to leave the hotel and travel to Roswell, NM (since every hotel in Lubbock was at full capacity). We are appreciative the hotel staff took our concern seriously and refunded us since we decided to leave early and not fulfill our reservation. I am not stating this is a terrible hotel, but I am suggesting that it is in need of improvements. If we didn't experience the problem with the odor in the room, I would have rated this hotel as average. Another reason for rating the hotel as "poor" instead of "average" is because this is an extended-stay hotel where each hotel room has a small kitchen, yet there weren't any utensils or cookware. Additionally, the bathroom did not have a hairdryer. We had to ask the front desk to use a hairdryer. The hotel room was not well equipped which is another factor I'm rating this hotel as "poor." Breakfast options were extremely limited (coffee, granola bars, and oatmeal & hot water, and tea. We went to "Jimmy's Egg," a nearby restaurant which was very good. In all fairness, I'd like to clarify that if in a pinch and there aren't other options available, this hotel is shelter for the night and a place to shower, but then get on your way. In the future this hotel will not be my first choice whilst visiting Lubbock. Yet, if this hotel makes necessary improvements and corrects issues, I'd consider staying again if all other hotels are booked to capacity. Otherwise, I'd consider other options. The price was considerably more this particular weekend in comparison to other weekends. Considering the 'average -to-poor' rating, limited breakfast, and areas that are in need of improvement, we felt the hotel was expensive for what it offered (albeit cheaper than other accommodations in Lubbock). In closing, we are grateful the employees were polite, professional, respectful, and gave us a refund for deciding to leave early.

Options not offered by other local hotels I was attending a family funeral in Lubbock so I pre-paid for two rooms before I left home; one for me and another for other family members as needed. I got a great rate from Hotels.com. I checked in the first night but stayed at my sisters house and didn't go up to the rooms. I though it odd that the hotel clerk was out and about when I arrived, the lobby was a mess, the smell of fried food wafted in the air and some of the guests were dressed quite "comfortably" and hanging out in the lobby. A few days later when I tried to access my rooms with my two grown daughters, the locks wouldn't open. I went to the lobby and was informed that if no belongings were found in the room, the hotel automatically checks out the guest. That was definitely the best thing that could have happened. There were ladies who looked very much like street prostitutes in the lobby ( I spent 20 years in the Navy living in places where that profession is practiced; I know what I was seeing!) who were very friendly with the hotel clerk as if they had been there quite a while. My daughters who were waiting outside indicated that their terms were "by the hour". Because the hotel checked me out, I was able to recoup most (but not all) of my pre-payment. I must agree; this hotel is "NASTY"! I would rather sleep under an overpass than stay there
