Sleepless in Lumberton Nice hotel. Its age is starting to show but everything was nice & clean. Excellent breakfast. Only complaint was the drapes couldn't be closed in the suite bedroom & the pool lights & reflection shone into the room. Then at 6:30 AM sunshine flooded into the room. This was not a problem with the regular rooms we have stayed in at this hotel.

Good breakfast. Good breakfast, but only a specific amount of food was served. The breakfast was not only for guests but for employees, their family, their friends and their dogs! The room was clean and the employees. pleasant. We had requested a specific room number and that was not noted, but the room was available so that was okay.

Almost cost me my life Stay April 5-6-7 2024 I had requested a room on the first floor because I am a heart. Patient at five bypasses I am 74 years old and I’m not healthy. I was promised the room on the first floor. I called about a week before I was going to check in. However, when I arrive to check in, I was told there was no note there was no requested first floor room. Previously the website had a notice that their elevator was broken so I asked them is the elevator fixed? I was told yes it was so I agreed to the second floor room. However Saturday night when I got back to the hotel, my wife and I got back the elevator, it was broke, and I had to go up two flights of stairs I barely got to the top of the 2nd flight. I almost didn’t make it walking down the hall to my room. When I got there I started taking nitroglycerin pills I was weak, I couldn’t breathe and after about 15 to 20 minutes of trying to recoup, my wife asked, are you ready to go to the emergency room? I was sitting there, thinking about telling her yes let’s go but then we didn’t know if we could make it back down the stairs so I waited a little longer. Then I started to catch my breath but it took a full 30 to 40 minutes for me to stabilize then put my CPAP on to help me breathe and laid down in bed I fell asleep I no longer trust the staff at the La Quinta Inn in Lumberton Texas. They lied to me either. They lied when I first requested a room or they lied when I checked in and said they had been no request. I cannot trust them nor can I trust Wyndham to back up, the promises by their staff I am terribly upset and still weak from the other night. I do not recommend this hotel, nor do I recommend any Wyndham hotels. They almost cost me my life.

Horrible smelly rooms that looked like prostitutes frequented. The nastiest hotel I’ve seen in a while. If I could give negative rating I would. The front area should have been an indication as it was horribly deteriorated and needed repairs. Just got worse as it went along. There was bodily fluid dried on the walls around the bed in one room. In another room it smelled like something died.
