Homewood Suites by Hilton Macon-North

Not the room we reserved! I did not get the room I reserved, so I did not get the sleep I needed! We called directly to the hotel a few hours before we arrived and made a reservation for a king room. We were sent an email confirming a king room! We arrived at the room and discovered it was a dual queens and no king rooms available. What happened to the room we had reserved??? Anything good about the hotel was clouded by the fact that we had trouble sleeping in a too small bed with covers that were too small for even the queen bed.

Very dirty To start, we are supposed to check in at 3 PM and they didn’t check us in until 6 PM. I booked the hotel well in advance, and after 9 hours on the road this was very frustrating. The room was also very VERY dirty. The fridge was OFF and warm when we i to the room. Dishwasher ran and trash emptied is about the extent of cleaning

Great Stay When I checked in to the Homewood Suites, I had just left another hotel in Macon because of issues with that hotel. It was late and I was frustrated/not in a great mood. However, that quickly changed when I encountered Jackie at the front desk that night. She was very friendly and welcoming and provided great service over the several days that I stayed here. Anne who worked mornings at the front desk was also very friendly and provided great service throughout my stay. My room was nice and was clean. Nothing fancy, but it served me well and I slept well here each night. It is important to note that this hotel seems to be very safe and the area of town around it feels safe because I learned that is not the case in all parts of Macon (hence the issues with my first hotel). Although I typically stay at Marriott hotels not Hilton properties, if I am every back in Macon, I will definitely return to this location.

I have photos of dirty bathroom. I stayed here one night. It was very late, so I was too tired to complain. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was no shampoo. I have gone through Guest Services for the chain and also directly to the motel itself. The process has been long and repetitive. My refund was denied.

Noisy, subpar for the price, late breakfadt, thin walls! My son got us a suite. The suite was small, the furniture was scratched and dented. The bed was comfortable. We were looking forward to a good night sleep after traveling all day. It didn't happen. The walls are thin. We could hear doors slamming, people talking and televisions but the worst part was the people above us. They were stomping, kids had to be jumping off the beds because the booms and thunderous noise shook our room. This went on for several hours. My son finally called the front desk. The noise did settle enough for us to finally go to sleep. We turned on the fan, I had a sound machine and used ear plugs but none of these measures masked the sounds from above. It was after midnight before we did go to sleep and were awaken at 5 am by more slamming doors and stomping. I felt worse than I did when I got here and certainly more tired. Breakfast was suppose to be at 7am on a Sunday but that was late by 15 minutes. You would think for over two hundred dollars you could get a good night sleep and a good breakfast but we got neither of these at this location. The ice machine had an out of order sign on it as well. This was our first time at this brand, never again.
