No Housekeeping on a Three Night Stay First the good: The hotel is clean and well maintained. Over the three night stay the breakfast provided had a good variety; alternating omelettes and scrambled eggs, bacon one day and sausage the next. One day even biscuits and gravy were on hand. Where improvement is needed: On all three mornings the breakfast meats were cold, which is worrisome. Only one day were cinnamon rolls available. For a three night stay there was no housekeeping service. When I brought this to the front desk's attention I was told it was because the "Check Back Later" (ie Do Not Disturb) sign was on the door when the maid went by. When I explained that door hanger was not on the door past 9:45 am I was basically told the housekeeper only checks once (never rechecks). We actually passed the housekeeper in the hallway on our way to breakfast around 8:30, so unless you keep farmer's hours and clear out of your room before 8:30 I guess you can't expect to have your room cleaned and towels refreshed.

Is this what $200 a night gets you? I will start off by saying that the young man who’s checked me in was both very personable and professional. There are really only two complaints that I have. Call it me being nit-picky because I travel a lot or simply wanting better value for the money I spend. Room- The room smelled. No other issues, but it just had a bad odor to it. Breakfast- The best of part of breakfast at any Holiday Inn has always been the cinnamon rolls. But, when you look at the pic I posted it begs the question, is this really all I get for $200 a night?! The eggs look slivers of rock shaved off a mountain… and the pancake maker was broken. I’m just saying, I don’t know how much it costs to operate a hotel, but imagine: If there were 50 people there and they all paid an average of $150 a night for a one night stay, that’s about 2.7 million during the year. And you mean to tell me for 2.7 million, they can’t afford room deodorizer and better breakfast?

Very Average The service at the location is outstanding. The rooms are average with no extra perks. The fitness center was small and needs improvement. The bed in my room should have been replaced years ago. Breakfast was below average.

Wonderful front desk service by Stephanie, extremely spacious suite, nice property Stephanie greeted us at check in, she noticed there were 4 of us and immediately offered an upgrade to a 2-queen top floor suite. She was friendly, welcoming and very nice. Being an IHG Spire member I am often upgraded to suites, however this suite must have been one of the most spacious in any HIE I have ever stayed at. Everything was clean and in great shape, which is no wonder since the hotel was completely renovated two years ago. We went to refresh in the pool, which was being cleaned by the maintenance gentleman. He later brought pool towels and was friendly and curteous, too. Breakfast in the morning was actually ready before posted time, the vast majority of the guests that night were workers, who obviously required an early start. Being an older property in original design meant the breakfast room was somewhat small and got full immediately. Luckily, there was additional (multi-purpose) seating available in the lobby just outside breakfast room. All in all a great stay, I will gladly visit again.
